  1. hi i want to do a bit of work on my tank but i have no idea what the blue colour is- someone has touched up the dinks and scratches with hammerite by the looks of it and it now just looks messy. Any help will be most appreciated thanks Yamaha RXS100 1989, origional colour blue
  2. cheers guys, im at uni now and well away from my dads workshop i didnt want to keep traipsing to the ironmongers-suppose i could have just taken the baffle with me as to ride it is far too loud- i was stopped on the way home this last time it happened by a cop- who was ok when i explained and said id walk it when i got to residential areas. thanks again
  3. Hi guys this may seem a daft question but the retaining screw for the exhause baffle has worked its way loose and shot off somewhere causing the baffle to come loose, I have found yambits do a retaining plug, anyone know the size of bolt- required. (It may seem an insignificant question) Also the use of baffle packing stops me getting anywhere above 6000 rpm does anyone use it? Thanks for your time Rob
  4. is the baffle drilled with holes along the full length of the baffle or mostly in the top section? i cant run mine at all with baffle packing i took the packing off and it was louder but i was able to top out in the red with my rpm.
  5. Hi I'm struggling to sort this problem. The break light is on constantly- (unless I remove the earth spade from behind it, then the rear light filament comes on.) I've removed the break switch and the light stays on. Ive tested the switch and it appears to be working. But it's disconnect to count it out. Can anyone suggest anything- is it a case of checking wiring?
  6. I have a similar problem, it could be an earth problem I atatched a second wire from inside the bulb bracket then to the frame, I disconnected the earth from the back of the break/rear light bulb- worked for me
