  1. Hello again , No need to apologise fella just didn't want to give you useless info :-) , Tyres are a massively personal thing so I can only tell you what I have fitted, evryone will have their own view. As I mainly road ride with maybe one off road outing a month I have avon distanzia's on mine, they seem very good on road and ok off road which is all I need, you may need to look more off road specific as with your moto x background you'll spend more and more time getting minging :-) Hope this helps, Thanks Mark
  2. Hi Andy and welcome to the forum, What is it you intend to do with the bike ? is it purely a road/commute bike or will you be using it offroad and greenlaning etc, this obviously makes a difference to what tyres are best Thanks Mark
  3. You'll wear it till you take your first high speed bee to the face , thats when i switched back to full face :-)
  4. Hi Gary, When you say put back on the road I assume it still has its frame numbers so you can apply for a V5 ? it's a royal pain in the arse if not. With regard to the lights etc , the standard tail light and plastics can all be picked up from a well known internet website, there is a gentleman from portugal that seems to do full sets for approx £125 and comes highly recommended from other uses. The after market headlight is also easily sourced online, your better off changing the whole front cowling inc lights rather than trying to somehow fit a round light into a very square hole :-) Welcome to the forum and hope this helps Thanks Mark

  6. Hi Dtboy , welcome to the forum , is you take a look in the projects section of the forum you will see a few superb step by step frame up rebuilds of dt's , there is also a large amount of dt owners on the forum so help is never too fay away. Thanks Mark
  7. Sacha I will take some after pics over the next few days and post them, blackhat250 , I got given in when i first joined the RAF not really sure why but it stuck and i'm still using it 16 years later :-)
  8. Hello Ladies and Gents, I'm Mark , both a newbie to the forum and a newbie to motorbikes, 31 years old and work in the RAF I did my CBT 3 months ago and have been riding round on a derestricted 2004 dtr 125, This seems to do me fine for the commute to work and a little bit of green laning round oxfordshire. have recently bought a front end crash damaged 2005 dt125x that i've mostly rebuilt just the last few pieces as always :-). thats about it. Thanks Mark
