  1. Just to mention that the yorkhill hospital ( Glasgow )egg run is on this sunday 31st was a good turnout last year so could be even better this year, ( lots of vids on u tube ) 11 o`clock at hospital staff car park.I will be there again as it is a good cause and it is " supposed " to be dry !!.
  2. Any pointers on what do with a new chain? I've read that some riders like to dunk it in engine oil or is it just as good to lubricate with chain oil I always keep an old deep fat fryer that the wife was throwing out put engine oil in it and put on a low heat for an hour or so and the warm oil penetrates the links better than just putting oil on the surface of the chain..
  3. https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10151799412899867 this is what britain has come to !!
  4. just buy super unleaded at any petrol station as there is no ethanol in high octane fuel --- YET ---
  5. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.. what you need now is one for the other side giving you 3 lights and also look symetrical or disconnect the high beam wire from headlight and wire into the 2 new lamps and use them as high beam ??

    classic

When does a bike stop being OLD and become a CLASSIC ????????/ just a passing random thought in my head today Any suggestions ??
  17. totally cracking bike. It travelled up and down the m6 every week during the summer when i used to go to concerts/ festivals ( in my younger days ) castle donnington, reading festival, isle of wight, and so on head down south for a weekend concert then back to work for the week then back down south for the next one,, HAPPY DAYS ,,,, all festivals in those days were all down south now I have the wickerman and eden festival on my doorstep
  18. Some people would put the chain in an oil bath but the Plusgas way is quickest. I done a lot of motocross years ago and used to oil my chains in an old chip pan/ fryer it was an old one the wife was throwing out but was great for heating the oil up which seemed to penetrate the links better being hot and thinner worked for me
  19. cannot help with a 94, mine was a 81 probably the same but be better to try to find exact details. do not think it changed through the years that is one of my bikes that i wished i had never sold ..

    First run

was out on my first run this year today bloody nippy outside done 80 miles, all good, a bit warmer would have been nicer but it was at least dry and sunny roll on the indian summer
  22. On another note, if the bearings were that bad that they failed, it might account for the chain problem you are having as well. I would agree with DT on this if the wheel was even waving slightly for a while it would be enough to destroy the chain nothing is made the way it used to be or is that just me showing my age ??
  23. I never seen you is an age old statement I used to drive buses in glasgow years ago 14 FT 6IN HIGH 32 FT LONG BRIGHT ORANGE DOUBLE DECKER and a guy in an escort ploughed smack into the centre of it got out his car and said ???? SORRY MATE I NEVER SAW YOU WTF
