  1. I need to check my power valve is fully open but I know if I tamper with it il Fk it up. Can u tell if I post pics of it???
  2. My mate also told me that the back section of the exhaust also restricts the bike alot. Is this true
  3. What iv done is sliced the sleeve the reed switch wire cones up. There's 4 wires in it. 2 are switch and 2 are something else. Iv left them in but taped the switch up about 8-9 inches down the sleeve to the other 2 wires. Is it ok taped up to the other 2 wires 8-9 inches down?
  4. I have dt with Reed switch, today I prized if off and taped it up out the way but as I prized it out the glass cracked on the reed switch but the metal connection looks connected still. Iv just insulate taped it right out way to another wire. Bike runs find. Have I fked anything up by cracking glass?
  5. i have a w reg dt 125 with elec power valve. did you find changing the battery made much of a diff cos im thinking of doing this. also will my bike have that reed switch if its older than urs? also did that switch make much diff
  6. Is there any diff between the 2?? Are the chassis and all the running gear the same??
  7. Iv got a standed 2001 dt125. Think it's the electric power valve model cos it make a little electronic sound wen I turn the key on. What should it do top end and wen should the power band kick in if it's all set standed ?
  8. Sort it. New throttle cable needed adjusting!!
  9. It's dt 125 r with elec power valve
  10. I completely stripped my dt down and power coated the frame. Iv put everything back together on the bike, every wire is in the right place, they only connect into the right connector anyways... It has a very good spark full tank of fresh juice but will not start. I don't think it's a wiring issue because it has a good spark? The only thing iv changed is the throttle cable as I notice the old one was chewed up when removed it. I completly cleaned carb out and none of the settings have been touched and it was running fine b4. Could I have not attached the cable to the slider in the carb properly or Is there only one way it goes? Iv check silly obvious things like ht cap changing plug, side stand switch etc, I even took the plug out and tipped some petrol in the head and quickly put plug back in and kicked it but still nothing. Why if there's fuel in head and spark with compression and ignition on is it still not firing?. It worked fine b4 I took apart. Use to start first kick even from cold?? Any help thanks
