When my boy got his insurance for his 50cc, the cheapest was MCE by quite a distance (cant remember exact figure), however when he changed to a 125 with about 2 months left they would not upgrade the policy and he ended up losing any chance of his 1st years NCB

You have changed the switch, but is the wiring connecting it ok. My sons Yamaha had the same issue when he went to buy it and the guy selling it was at a loss. Turned out the wiring had been rubbing on the centre stand and had broken. Cut and shut the wire, re-routed it and no probs since.

Alright mate. Whats up with the electrics, and re the seat. has someone cut the frame, if not it should be easy just to take the seat off and the original seat should fit. Post pics

Thats right, it was me. My boy enlightened me to it last week or so. A pair of surgical gloves under your own. I tried it and it seemed to work but I havent put any serious mileage in to test it properly.
