Hi everyone, I've just got a 2008 R1 and I saw one last summer with the standard cans modified, it looked and sounded good! Anyone know how it's done? Failing that anyone selling a nice cheap pair of race cans? Thanks Hux

Hi Everyone, I fitted an Ivan's FCE (fuel cut eliminator) to my FZ1 this weekend and the difference is staggering! Absolutely no throttle snatch at any revs / throttle combination. It has totally transformed the bike, so smooth! it was £150 all together from SG Motorsport who are really helpful and it's not too difficult to fit if you have some mechanical / electrical knowledge. Can't recommend it enough.

I picked up my new FZ1 on Tuesday after having ridden the 06 demonstrator. I've done about 500 miles on it so far and the snatch has been fixed below 6,000rpm but is still there at higher revs. It is a pain but I don't think it should put you off as the rest of the bike is so good! It feels like a worn cush drive and can make "spirited" riding a bit jerky if you try to roll on the throttle gently round a bend, if you're just thrashing it then you don't notice it! I'm probably going to try a power commander so I'll let you all know how it goes if I do.

Quite right, the FZ1 is the naked version and the Fazer is the half faired one. I've just bought an FZ1 and it is a glorious bike, feels lighter and more aggresive than the faired version, lots of fun!

Hi, Has anyone tried a power commander on an FZ1? I was hoping it would get rid of the on / off throttle snatch and boost the low down a bit but any feed back before I buy would be greatly appreciated as they aren't cheap! Thanks Hux

If you are travelling above about 5 mph and you get round the bend then you are counter steering, whether it's started by your ass, hands, stomach or ear lobes!

Evening, I've just traded my R1 for an FZ1, hoping to do a track day or two on it but not sure how it'll cope. Anyone out there been on track with one?
