  1. Hi can anyone tell me the correct float height for this model ? it has a mikuni 10v 00 does this seem right? as I cant find anything with those letters/numbers on. Also what size main jet should I run with a Big One full expansion chamber, its currently got a 100 main jet. cheers for any help with this.
  2. They're copies made in Thailand, but for £98 incl postage they seem OK & are cheaper than getting one rebuilt, fronts aren't available yet but luckily mines OK. Cheers
  3. Because I bought a new rear wheel of eBay which was advertised as a 4 hole hub, but when it arrived it has 6 holes for the sprocket. Just wondering if it makes any difference? Why did they change them? Seller has checked they're stock and all they're wheels are 6 hole.
  4. Hi, anyone know if a 6 hole sprocket rear wheel will fit the above bike, as apposed to the original 4 hole one ? i.e is the sprocket the only difference? cheers in advance.
  5. Have found them on yambits, but its not clear which bushes are for my specific model, they all look the same. Might just email them as I need the bolt as well, which they don,t show as part of the kits they do.
  6. Yeah can do, just wondering if other models shared the same bits and would be easier sourced as eBay has very little for the mk1 cheers
  7. Hi, anyone know where I can get new swingarm bushes, spacers, endcaps & bolt for my dt125lc mk1 had to cut mine out with a grinder & only part salvageble is 1 nylon bush. Do the later dt,s share the same bushes?
  8. just seen this and its got me wondering, my dt125 is 12w but has 10v stamped on most parts of it including the carb ? its 1982 Mk1with matching No,s so is it restricted to 12bhp or what should power output be for this?
  9. Managed to get the shock out, had to cut the end of the pin holding it to swingarm an drive it out. Time to bring in the heavy artillery to get the swingarm bolt out. More worried about breaking the engine mount, but it looks to be seized in the swingarm rather than the mounting, it will be out one way or another by the weekend :-)
  10. Well got another look at the bike today, and thanks to the advice here I got the oil flowing again from the pump. Started stripping the bike down as this is a restoration project, and came up against my first major hurdle !! pin that joins rear shock to swingarm is seized solid, no probs I thought, I,ll just whip out the swingarm+shock in one piece and get it in the press !! NO CHANCE. Swingarm bolt is seized solid also, Any tips for getting this out? heat? I,d rather it was just seized in the swingarm and not the rear engine mount, but don't know yet :-(

  12. OK, so its OK to run for a short time with no pipe?
  13. I did take that screw out & oil did run out of the hole, so I knew the pump was getting oil, but just wasnt sending it to the carb. Would pressurising the oil tank work if I held the pump open as you describe ? I have removed the rotten exhaust now, so don't want to start her. Thanks
  14. Hi, having just bought a 82 dt125lc project bike, today I set about seeing if it would start, switch on & started first kick !! I then decided to swap the oil feed line from the pump to carb for a clear one so I could keep an eye on it. After fitting, I fired her up, but noticed that no oil was travelling up the tube to the carb. I,be tried pressurising the oil tank while holding throttle full open, bike turned off, but still nothing, I then put a syringe on the carb end of the tube and tried to draw the oil up using vacum but nowt !! What could be wrong?
  15. Hi all, another newbie here, from N.I , 51yr old owner of 02 xjr13sp , 07 Xt660x & as from yesterday a 1982 dt125lc Mk1 :-) project.which I will probably have a lot of questions to ask about. Cheers;-)
  16. Hi Andy, have one of those tenere,s meself, great fun. i found if you give the throttle a blip whilst engaging neutral its much easier.
