  1. Iv just been riding it at just touching 30 for now. I don't go out on it much so running it in will take forever
  2. I have just put a 90cc kit on my tzr. I got it from Poland and the instructions said to run it in do 500km (310miles) at no more than 30kmph (18mph) and then a further 500km (310mph) at no more than 40Kmph (24mph). Is this right. Surely them speeds are Illigal to start with. Plus that would take me about a year to cover 620 miles. If its right I have no choise I suppose
  3. Morpheus. If both screws do the same what's the point in having 2 then. Drewpy What's the mixture ratio please
  4. I think I will for now. I have a 90cc bore kit to fit soon. Just need the time to do it. I wanted it running right first instead of doing everything at once.
  5. I have ordered one anyway so I'll see what turnes up
  6. Ok well my cone air filter came at the same time as my technigas Exhaust. I fitted them both together and the bike run really well (besides the noise out the cone). I decided the noise was too much and fitted the old air box back. Now the bike splutters with anything less that full throttle. There are 2 screws on the carb. One Definatly adjusts the idling but im not sure of its a mixture one or not the is a second screw next to it but not sure what it is. As standered they Usualy have a #88 main jet but mine already had a #125 fitted. just to clarify. Standered exhaust with standered airbox the bike Run fine. Performance exhaust and cone filter the bike run far better. Porformance exhaust and standered box the bike runs really poor. I suppose it's obvious by that the bike needs more air or less fuel but can this be done by a mixture screw or a lower jet.
  7. Yamaha only list a rubber o ring by the looks of it.
  8. Ok I feel silly now. Obviously it's a bike that does quarter of a mile in 10 seconds. It's a tzr50 so that's a noooo
  9. Exhaust on and runnning fine. i havent even blanked it off just left it hanging as its not in the way of anything. Only problem i had was getting it to fit. Is it suppose to have a gasket as the old one never . The old pipe had a small inset that i needed to put in the new exhaust. Just ended up using exhaust paste for now
  10. Im just after some advice on Air Filters. All i can find is conflicting arguments when looking up replacement air filters. Some people say a new filter is a MUST DO Some people say dont bother its a waste of time and causes tons of mixture problems and only eats more fuel and makes a noise. Ta people
  11. Ok thanks. My new pipe should be here tomorrow so I'll blank it off.
  12. Hello everyone. Now I have ordered a technigas exhaust for my TZR50 and after looking at how to remove mine I have found a problem. My original downpipe has some sort of small metal pipe going to it that goes back to a little black box. Now my replacement pipe doesn't have such hole. Has anyone faced this problem before or know what I can do. Mine is a 55 plate am6. Thanks.
  13. I have a 55 plate (2006 on the log books) TZR50 with the am6 engine and the revs seem to max out at 9k or just under. I have seen posts where people say they are getting 10k-11k+. So I need to know is the standered coil pack restrict the revs or do they all do the same job. I have seen 3 differed shape coil packs availible all saying there for the am6. So i don't know if one does a better Job than another or if a coil pack is just a coil pack. Thanks
  14. Just a quick bit of advice. I have 3 or 4 problems I want to ask advice on. Is it normal to practice to have one thread per problem or all on the same once. I know on other forums if your title says for example. SPARK PROBLEM you will get more views than someone that has the title MULTIPLE PROBLEMS. Thanks.
  15. I have a lot more experience on car calipers than bike ones but there along the same lines. Opening the blees valve on the caliper (nipple) will obviously let fluid out but if you can't push the pistons back without opening up the nipple you have a problem that needs addressing. My advice would be to clamp the break pipe and remove it. Get a small screw driver or pri-bar and force it open with the old pads in so not to damage the caliper. You could get a wedge and knock it inetween the pads. Try not to hit the caliper with a hammer because I have cracked a few in my time hitting them. Once it's off get it in a vice and clean it up. You could try to get a bigger bar in or clamp to fit in it or even a caliper wind back tool. If you still have no joy you could try soaking it in wd40 over night and trying again. If nothing still eBay it is. Don't forget everytime you open the nipple you risk getting air in the system. Even if you just back it off just to force the pads off you will Suck air in. Its not a problem ad Long as you bleed it up when you have finished. Hope this helps. Good luck.
  16. Yes forum is here to help everyone not just the individual asking for advice at the time. If everyone updated there thread untill there problem was resolved It would help others out with the same problem.
  17. Yeah i dont plan on jumping straight on one after test i will work my way up. When i had my TZR125 i had a go of a CBR900 it had no 4th gear but the power difference was still scary. I then had a go of a CBR1000 and it lifted on me and i SH*T me self. If i find a cheap enough TZR125 localy at the right price id have one but im happy with the fact i can take my kids out on the back of my 50 wile im sorting my licence out.
  18. Well she has just bought a pony and 2 horses so she had no say in me having a bike. I nearly ended up riding a horse and the scooter saved me.
  19. Sorry to bump an old post and mark will probably have a bigger bike now anyway but i do remmeber the days of haveing a 50cc at 16 and wanting to go faster without spending too much money and i totaly understood what he was going through well im 29 now and have just bought a TZR50 all standered at the minute with no mods at all and it does 45mph with me on it (17stone). I have just bought a Technigas exhaust, 90cc bore kit and carbon reed valves. Im currently looking for a Carb and airfilter to suit my setup. Now i could go out tomorrow and but a 125 and ride it on my CBT, hell i could go and buy an R1 really and hope i didnt get cought on it but im happy playing with what i have and trying to get the most out of it at the moment and if i run it into the ground trying at least i will have had fun doing it. Now at 17 i did ended up with a TZR125 and i got 101mph on a good day out of it on a straight and 107mph was the best i got down a steep hill in wales. Personaly i think its better to get the most out of what you have got wile you have it and move on when your ready age be buggered
