  1. I have a stock xt350 which runs great , is there any big bore kits out there or are there any other ways of getting more power from these engines??????????????????/
  2. Have you checked there is a spark?????
  3. It sounds like a carbs problem , either gunked up , set up wrong or sucking air in somewhere .
  4. On the XT350 the drain is the small bolt/ screw on the rear at the bottom on the fork leg not the large hex on the underneath . hope this helps
  5. Wow that looks like you have spent a lot of time , effort and money on them you should be very proud of yourself .I wish i had that much time , effort and patience.
  6. I have a haynes manual for my xt350 if you tell me which part of the wiring diagram you need to know i will type it out for you .
  7. I would certainly at least clean the spark plug and check there is a spark , If you dont chang the oil before you fire it up i wouldnt run it for long on the oil that is in it , it would be better to change it really.other than that I wouldnt do much untill you know it runs. Good luck
  8. Hi The shaft that the kickstart is on has a cam which works the de compressor which is obviously working ok , but it has a gear on the same shaft which turns the engine over ,if you arnt getting the engine turning over it looks like a problem with this cog which would probably mean stripping it down.
  9. Cheers for that Ive found the window now , its a lot smaller than my last bike plus it was completly covered in muck so I couldnt even see through it , cheers for that , now ive just got to sort the rest out like maybe putting a battery on it , getting the horn working and possible some indicators and a few other bits and bobs .
  10. Hi all Ive just bought my thumper after changing from a sportsbike and I am loving it already, it needs some tlc so Ive ordered sprockets and chain and an oil filter etc , reading the haynes manual it says there is either a dipstick filler cap or a window , well I cant find either, but there is a one penny coin stuck low down on thew front of the engine is this where the window would have been ???also should it have a battery and will the regulator be fitted or was this an option ???How easy is it to fit a battery or doesnt it need it , I am planning to put indicators back on it as well .Cheers for any help
