hi mate i had that trouble after a month or so of rebuilding mine it was the headbolts had came loose and was losing compression, the bolts have to be torqued down to 10lb and have to have locking washers. try that? it worked for me. thanks

hi mate the am6 motor is used on th dt50r bike not on the dt50mx like yours. why do you want to have 12v lights on the bike for? The 6v lights aren't that bad you will soon get used to them.

hi guys i have a dt50mx 1989 which has started running badly it will tick over all day but as soon as you started to rev it up, it will start cutting out and back firing. i have done a compression test it it said 150psi don't know what it should be? took the carb off and cleaned it out one of the jets where blocked i cleared the blockage still no joy. it has one of those k&n air filters onthis probly isn't helping, trying to get hold of the original airbox. any suggestions thanks
