  1. It is completely dry now, changed the oil etc. Assuming the packing has been all squished, should i lookinto replacing it ? or is it just a noise thing?
  2. hi all, a couple weeks back i had a major case of misjudging a puddle ( more like a pond) and found my bike quickly submerged . And the exhaust filed up with water. Anyway after 30mins of trying to get it back started and heaps of water flushing out the back the exhaust sounded terrible!. It is a DEP exhaust so i expected it to sound kinda tinny but now its really loud and sound completely different, whats happened?? G
  3. Hi all, the bike is back out in the garden and being fixed and renovated ready for what will probably be more disasterous green laning antics. I registered back in july being an absolute noob with a cbt in the world of biking and was playing around etc with my dt125 for some laning fun. Now however i have done my theory and have booked my D.A.S in april easter bank holidays so finegrs crossed for that . Since then me my friend ( who brought a DT, which was last month stolen) and my dad who brought a rmx250 ( with his fancy pants full license) , have been out on several green laning sessions around east hampshire . So today on my day off i have been in the garden fixing everything that needs fixing and when that is all done ive gotta try and paint and maintain the frame and exhaust ( rusting nicely ) here is our video , hosted by my friend dan with me seen mainly at the begginning of the video. Since then i have jacked it up to look more MX ' y and makes me look less of a giant on it . let us know what you all think, and recommend any other good places to go . G
  4. Hello everyone, I have recently been finding myself doing alot of green laning and have been using both www.trailwise.org.uk and definitive maps. It uses google maps as a basis to display its maps, and i really want to import all the routes onto my google maps app on my android phone. Problem is i Dont know how. I can see u can export the maps with the Exporter, however i think i need to be a member of the TRF/Glass or CRAG. I want it so i can basically use my Phone as a GPS to the unregistered tracks + green lanes which google maps dosent route correctly. Anyone use anything similar ? Thanks G
  5. Im 21 and on L-plates, running a dt125, The flash gits on there flash super-sports dont nod, i do for laughs , everyone else does thou Put it down to the L-plate i guess
  6. Mine did that a low revs, i put some redex in it, and just kept driving it around, cleared out the system and started running alot better... in time
  7. Are you talking about finding the ID for the Bike so you can find the right parts and year etc??
  8. Hi everyone, I use mineral oil in my dt125 , i am hearing mixed reports on this over a synthetic, what is everyones opinion of it and how strongly ? Also i am looking to do some touch ups on the silver swing arm and black frame but for the life of me i cant find any paint codes or places that sell it. Preferably id like paint on paint , rather than spray cause its just touching up. Anyone know where or how i can get these?
  9. My thoughts exactly , learned alot actually! And yer did my best on the cleaning and greasing n gaskets , Thanks for the help
  10. Ok I could not find out what was wrong after debuillding it , so I put everything back together, and it is now running Not a clue what happened : p
  11. So ill try fixing the timing first . Fingers crossed
  12. Ok i have been ripping it apart today, out what the cylinder case in parts, as far as i can see the piston, rings case crank are all absolutely fine. I havnt dug further behind the cylinder yet, so i am guessing its a problem somewhere near the gearbox, which if i am right, there is a woodruff key there? G
  13. hope it wast due to the 10w40 car oil i put in the transmission?
  14. No it dosent pop when I try and start it Just sounds normal, but dosent actually run G
  15. Could this be the piston or rings ?
  16. I suppose the only way to find out is to crack it open :/
  17. Hi everyone, I was doing a bit of greenlaning earlier and on the way back on a main road, i hear a Bang, loud enough to hear over by DEP exhaust and my helmet. Then it sputtered out to nothing and lost all power so i had to walk it back. It has compression and it does run for about 2 seconds before cutting out again. I have read up about it and have an idea on what it might be, but what do you guys think. Thanks G
  18. Out of curiosity Who can wheely there bike? or has anyone tried and failed miserably G
  19. Hi all , Just a question really about your motorcycle gear. If your going out to a nice meal or something, where do you put all your clothes, helmet and boots. I have a dt125 and there isn't anywhere to put anything a it won't really fit in a back pack? Does any one else have this problem? Secondly , when I brought my bike it never had any keys for the steering lock or the helmet lock, anyone know where id get a set of keys? Thanks muchly Gary
  20. Hi everyone, I am considering sorting out my motorcycle test, but I have had no training our anything away from the cbt. So my question is shall I go for professional training or so you think it's possible to teach myself using books and dvds and stuff. or maybe an intensive cpurse? . So what does everyone think is the best and cheapest way to do this ? G
  21. that was where i was going wrong, and F**K me , it flyes like a beast now !!! Thanks a bunch added to the memory bank
  22. Thats what i did, im saying the cables are too short to allow the 4mm hole to line up with the hole, its just a few mm off being on the hole , so i did the best i could. G
  23. My bad :/ basically when you open the PV casing you get a black piece of plastic with two cables on either side controlling which way it spins. The cable towards the front wheel is too short in order for the PV to be positioned so that it is flush when you look down the exhaust port. Despite using the cable adjusters above it, it is turned as long as possible. So you might be able to tell me if im correct in doing this. But what i have done is set it a few degrees out, its isn't quite flush but i think its more open than it was which i hope makes a difference? I would go on the road to test it but it is heaving down out there! G
  24. The pulley on the left is to short, even with the tightening screws , our just won't reach?
