There is still quite a lot to do to it such as getting the frame powder coated and everything painted etc.

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think :D

  3. I don't think yellow was an option from factory, i think the frame colours were: Red, Black & silver.

The red frame went with black panels and also white panels.

Black frame with blue panels and black panels.

Silver frame went with the white panels with pink stickers.

    Hope this helps! :D

  5. Hello, have you tried cleaning all the jets out and made sure there are no blockages at all because there is an idol jet etc and if the idol jet is not blocked then it will tick over but if another is blocked it won't rev properly.

Let me know what happens, Thanks.

  6. Hi just got myself a 1991 DT 50 LC with the bike came a 70cc piston and ring kit + gaskets and barrel. Can some one out where tell me what size jett's I need to re-jet the carb?

    Cheers Mate

Well to know that you do need to re-jet the carburettor up, you will need to do the plug-chop test, this is where you ride it for a while then check the spark plug and see what colour it is, if it is like a sutty black colour you need to go up in size on the jets, go uo in 5% bigger that the original jet. and then keep doing that till it is the right colour. It will help if you have a Haynes manual to tell you what the correct colour is.

    Thanks

  7. Hello, more pictures would help, but i am pretty sure that this is an yamaha virago xv535, meaning the engine displacement would be 535cc, with 38bhp, producing 32ftlb (torque) a top speed of 100mph, does 47mpg and is insurance group 8, suppose thats all you need to know B) . Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

  8. Hello, i am kind of new here i have posted a few thing but never introduced my self so i have decided to now.

I am billy, i have a yamaha dt50mx what i am rebuilding :) a yamaha dt80mx a yamaha ty80, a yamaha tdr250 and a honda xr250. Could you read some of my posts and reply?

Nice to meet you all and thanks.

  9. i, thanks, i tried the connectors reversed but it did not work the starter motor so i put the old brushes from the original starter motor in the new one and it works, the only thing thats wrong is i had to use the back off the original one, so the screws do not go in so i will have to make a bracket :P

    Thanks guys B)

  10. Hello,i have a honda xr250 baja (sorry i know its not a yamaha but i dont know where else to ask)and the starter motor was knackered, so i bought one off ebay from another honda bike as it was the same measurements, as there are none about. It fits fine and everything but it turns the wrong way.... And i was wondering if there is anyway to make it turn the opposite way.

I Would really appreciate it if you could help me out.

P.s sorry its about a honda, i just know i always get an answer off this website, because yoour all very clever ;)

  11. Hello, i am going to (want to) buy a gianelli exhaust (front pipe and silencer) for my DT50MX and was wondering if they will increase the power and if they are restricted somehow?

Thanks, please let me know if you know.

  12. Hello, i have a yamaha tdr 250 and it was sat for about for about 3-4 months and now when i start it, it will run ok for about 30 seconds and then cut out, yet it runs fine with the choke on, me personally think the carburettor needs cleaning but i haven't got round to that.

Please let me know if you know the problem.

    Thanks.

  13. Ok, so i have a 1993 Yamaha dt50mx and i am going to fit a 65cc big bore kit and a full gianelli exhaust system (front pipe and silencer) and was wondering if i am going to need to re-jet the carburettor because of these modifications.

If anybody knows if i would need to do that and any problems i may have please let me know. Thanks.
