  1. So when do you all start burning books and stuff then :?:
  2. depends wat u mean by newer, used to ride as a teenager but never had the funds for new stuff so only bought second hand. At 33 decided to get a bike again so not much market experience as such.

Dude, at those two incidents I spoke of earlier the rozzers came. one was in a traffic standstill on the M4 and one cop said I can see you were doing between 10-15 mph by the bumper damage (years of experience and seeing it on a daily basis he said). Yet still the court chose to ignore all of this as my insurance company never contested. I was even forwarded a copy of one of the personal injury claims by the other partys solicitor by mistake, doctors report and all and there was f**k all wrong with her yet she still cleaned up on the comp' front!!! I have appealed against my insurers decision and put all the details in the letter, anyway I detract, always get it reported and call the cops even if only to confirm that the other person isn't a drunk driver and that their details are proper and get any witnesses details (I've personnaly been stung in the past as I had no witness to ascertain the other person was at fault even tho they were).
  4. also, if biking went out of fashion then prices would rise and less new decent people would get to enjoy what we all love!
  5. We all know what these "born again's" are like too, these are the one's who are causing most of the problem (I think). Bollox to that, how can you all generalise so much? I was into bikes in my younger years, had a long break, decided my life was lacking due to not having a bike, got legal and the missus bought me an R6. Also, I don't try and thrash it at every opportunity or only go out on a Sunday, I don't do dayglo luminous gear, I get a buzz just from nipping to the shop on it (shops round the corner and it takes me at least an hour lol) and I try to get out as often as possible (every day), go down to Brighton most weekends rain or shine. Still I would guess that according to some of you I would be a "born again" that causes shit!!! How can you generalise about people you don't even know??? No matter what, there are arseholes in every pastime, lifestyle call it what you will etc and if they were all the one "type" or shared the same commonalities then we could throw them for a ride on the carousel of death and solve it in one easy sweep. Likewise there are bigots in every group in society so no matter if there were no arseholes in the biking world there would still remain fools who dislike bikes/bikers for no reason other than they are there and they will continue to try and make life difficult for others.

Yeah, sue her for whiplash before she sues you. Honestly, I just got told by my car insurance company"Royal Sun Alliance Mobility" that they would not renew my policy the day before collecting a brand new car on the mobility scheme (my kid has special needs) as I was considered a "high risk". In 3 years I've made 5 claims which come to £19,800 approx. However only 2 were my fault and get this, both the other people involved claimed for personal injury retrospectively. One got £9,000 and the other got £7,000. Now the strange thing is that both incidents happened below 15 mph and at the time both claimed to be uninjured. I later found out that when these personal injury claims go to court the insurance companies don't bother contesting them if their client was at fault. It nearly made hope to get a prang from behind in my car just to make some easy cash!!! However, I'm far too honest for that kind of thing. $hando
  7. Maybe a V-Max that corners better.
  8. It won't work Darth Xtreme, for each time you strike me down I shall become more confused than you could possibly imagine :!:
  9. I'm begginning to think that there is no one right answer to this and that he's just playing jedi mind tricks on us  $hando

skyline, so your saying if you can't have a yam you would rather not have a bike at all? $hando
  11. Ha ha, I'd just popped out for a year in '71. Thought I'd gotten away with it by narrowly missing the flared trousers thing, but it was not to be as parents of that generation delighted in dressing they're kids up like comedy circus clowns under the pretence that it was cute when the real motive is to take a shedload of happy snaps to emabarrass one with in later years. $hando
  12. Yes, what examiners expect you to ride like and what real riding is are two different things. Maggie May, your older than me then! lol.
  13. Left of centre positioning is what the examiners look for, down here anyway. However, the way you would ride for an exam is completly different to how you would ride normally. I was told by my instructor to stop riding in the centre of the lane. And was also given a couple of minors for it on my first attempt at the test, I know this to be the case as the examiner told me afterwards. $hando
  14. Many happy returns m8 $hando

I can see your point there lads. I suppose it's better not to take the bate in such cases as any sign of effect just spurs them on even more. Still, if that's the type of thing he fills his spare time with then he must be one sad and lonely or deranged individual, probably all. $hando
