  1. Welcome Rj I too had friends witha C50, SS50 5 speed, an FS1E ........but not a Puch maxi 2 speed! for a minute there I thought you might be one of my old mates!! In my opinion you can't beat an older bike, I've got 2. I've owned my 400/4 since 83/4, fell in love with one in 76, but I was only 15 then! My first bike was a 61 lambretta, whilst my mates had the above bikes. Like you, we went everywhere on them and came back equally smelly , it was as you say a fantastic time. Once again welcome to the club, i second Airheads comment; great intro, look forward to hearing more from you.......
  2. Amazing!, You have to admire the skill of the excavator guy. The stuck guy in the blue jacket has a lot of faith in the bucket operator, who is obviously extremely competent at operating this machinery!!
  3. the ultimate bike lift is an EazyRizer..... IMO http://www.on-bike.com/products_original_red small, compact, drill driven........bloody marvelous piece of kit! one for sale here www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eazyrizer-Red-350KG-770-lbs-Motorcycle-Lift-/141027064774?pt=UK_Lifting_Moving_Equipment&hash=item20d5de3bc6#ht_482wt_958 friend had one a few years ago, he sold it on.............. I couldn't justify buying it at the time.
  4. I know.....i know.......................................You cleaned the wrong bike and realised yours was still dirty!!! (((Posted between Mikes answers)))
  5. something stupid eh?.................. i know,.....................you flicked the "engine kill" button back on?
  6. You put the key in the ignition?
  7. I assume its the NEUTRAL light.....not the natural...... so naturally you've checked the Neutral bulb to see if its working?............... ie you've not blown it!!!
  8. Hi jack Have you tried doing a search.....................on this website!! or going to google and typing in ybr125 circuit diagram and looking at the images (the Diagram will show you how many and where the fuses are) hope this helps
  9. Anythings possible,.............. First bring it home remove the engine, gearbox, exhaust, remove the seat, take off the wheels you should be left with a very rusty frame and seized swinging arm............... which (i can assure you) will be impossible to remove.. Get a new frame and swinging arm..........paint it/powder coat it,........ buy new wheels brake shoes, drums and tyres. replace ALL wiring, and control cables source a new seat and foam and base..........the old ones will have rotted away. source another engine, gearbox and exhaust....remember nothing was salvageable on the found seized bike and you should have a nice MX bike........................... It reminds me of Trigger in Only falls and horses stating he's owned the same broom for 20 odd years. But it looks brand new says del. Well yeah says Trig..........its had 17 new heads and 14 new handles!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I can assure you ....it is, especially to the child. Accident and Emergency Charge Nurse.

and whats wrong with having a Honda?!! I happen to have a Honda!........and a yamaha!..........and i love my honda!.............CB 400/4 I'd understand if you said Suzuki......or triumph! (provoke a fight) Are you implying............. he's brown bread?
  13. It's more than likely a simple problem................ Has the 'kill switch' been grounded? Did removing the turn signals disturb the wiring to the kill switch itself? Does the kill switch wiring go into the headlight bowl and has it become disconnected there?
  14. No particular order either..... Marc Bolan Trex - Get it on Eddie cochran- C'mon Everybody Buddy Holly- Rave On Squeeze - Goodbye Girl Madonna- True Blue
  15. Assuming its done a few miles I think it looks right. Not checked mine to compare it!
  16. Bl**dy funny that! He'd get £200 if he'd sent to "you been framed."...especially the ending! I know it stares you in the face from the beginning..... but it was unexpected all the same!
  17. Don't frighten the lady Foamy! Just disconnect the wires and tuck them out of the way, so they won't touch the battery terminals. If you did happen to short the battery with your tools ie touch both terminals with your screwdriver, ((rest assured its not easy to do it, its designed in a way to reduce the risk of being able to bridge both terminals)) anyway you'll get a nice spark and it'll make you jump, but you won't get electrocuted...it's only 12volt. Your household mains is 240v ...enough to kill you if you touch those! but 12v....no, just a big spark! Sparks on the other hand don't go well with petrol fumes!........................................

When I read this i thought you meant Down South!! as in down here in Sussex....Not Up North!! In fact anything upwards is North! If I go South I'll end up in the Channel.
