  1. Bummer sorry to hear that Drew. I have gone back on the buses, free travel on most UK buses for me & the mrs as long as i work there is not to be sniffed at. wage rise just been approved £10.04 an hour going upto 10.25 in 12 months, full sickpay after 12 months and an ace credit union for all the spares you need for your projects. Stagecoach are hiring at Hyde Rd and Stockport at the moment.

  4. No Sympathy For Him At All , I Have Had 3 Lcs Stolen From Me Over The Years, And Car Drivers Can't Understand How Much That Hurts. I Have Had Cars I Love, But a Bike Is Part Of You. He Took The Risk,And Paid The Price , Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish !
  5. They had all bleedin gone I was thinking of the dirtiest part of the bike, under the seat and around the monoshock. I remember jet washing my 3 day old RD250F, and the disbelief when it blasted all the black paint of my crankcase !
  6. B & Q are selling a pressure washer for £20 Its only little , but will be ideal for my R6, and as the mrs says , we can sack the bin cleaners too Off To get one now !
  7. Hi Steve , yeah i was going to say bikes & bits, I was gobsmacked when i slipped my rose coloured specs on last year and bought a 350LC, they had a set of carbs for it
  8. Karlos , err Hadfield born and bred me , just being pedantic, but woodhead is not aka snake pass, Woodhead is the A628, and the Snake Pass is the A57 Bike sounds very nice, don't think i have ever seen a real live tzr50.
  9. Hi steve , you are local to me , im in Ashton, with an R6 I can hardly touch the floor on , the opportunities for mishaps as yours are many, but on topic - As a 23 yr old who had just passed his test circa 1983, I traded in my new CB125 TDC at my favourite shop (claremount motorcycles) for an X reg CX 500, my pride and joy I lived in Hadfield then, and was very much into CB. I fitted my rig to the CX, and headed up to the "budgie perch" (The Nab In Glossop) To get me some far copies. I arrived on the top of the hill, it was raining, and then realised both the front and back wheels where on mounds, and my feet went nowhere near the floor. I went straight over into a pool of mud. Imaginge my(ex)wifes mirth after I had wrigeled out from underneath it , and picked it up,back home in 20 minutes, covered in the proverbial

  13. Hi , thanks for the replys, after a few trips on her , i have decided to let it be, ok i cant stand astride it with both feet flat on the floor, but slightly leaning it over when sat on it , i can support it perfectly !
  14. Hi, i have finally got my dream bike, after wanting one since 1999! its a 2002 model, only 7500 miles from new, immaculate! The only problem is,im only 5 foot six,and i can just touch the floor with the very tip of my toes. Im going to have the monoshock put on its lowest setting shortly , hopefully that will lower it a bit. Am i right in thinking there is a bracket on the bottom of the monoshock, called a dog leg that can be changed for a smaller one to lower it further? Looking at the bike , it looks like if you loosened the bars bolted onto the frame that supports the back end of the bike , and the back of the exhaust, you could lower the whole of the back of the bike. Surley its not that easy ! Any advice gladly recieved. PS, im not a born again biker, had loads of bikes , last one an old cbr600, so don't need any advice on being careful !!
