  1. Well, that bunch of parts was listed incorrectly. It wasn't even from an RXS100! However the same seller does have a dented headlight rim for me so I should be at least temporarily sorted soon... Thanks, all, for the advice... Duggy.
  2. Looking at the pic, it looked like just the lamp, not the whole assembly but now I'm not so sure. I'll drop the seller a line and ask... Duggy.
  3. Thank you. I'd seen these on Ebay myself. Looking at the clocks, these bits are from an earlier bike. (I've got the square ones.) Also, I only need the rim: the lamp itself stayed hanging from the wiring loom! Thanks, anyway. I appreciate the thought. Duggy.
  4. Hi, folks! I've been lurking here on and off for a while and thought I'd better say hello before posting anything else. My name is Duggy and I ride a blue 1990 RXS100. I have a car licence and CBT to allow me to ride it. I originally got it to save money on the daily commute (15 miles each way) but am loving it so much I ride whenever I can now! I bought it at the end of last year for a tenner off a work colleague. His wife thought he'd most likely kill himself and wanted him to get rid of it. It was a bit of a wreck but just about ran and stopped with a bit of luck so I started about getting it fixed up. I'm not bad with car stuff but not having a bike since a Honda SS50 thirty years ago I thought I'd better get an expert to have a look at it. Another biker colleague recommended a little backstreet bike workshop near my work so off we went. As soon as he heard the engine ticking over he shook his head and said it was very poorly. A top-end rebuild later, the engine is purring nicely. I got some mirrors and a new headlight bulb, new rubbers for the pedals, new brake levers and a few other bits and sh'e looking a bit more decent now. Still a way to go but I'm severely bitten by the bug now... Unfortunately, on the way home from work the other day, the screw holding the chrome headlamp rim came loose and the rim dropped off at about 50mph! I went back and searched up and down both sides of the road but couldn't find it. Sadly, I can't find a replacement either so the bike is parked up until I can get one. These are getting rarer and rarer these days so I may have to try for a replacement headlamp to continue... So there's a bit about me. Looking forward to learning as much as I can about my rekindled youth hobby around here... Regards, Duggy.
