  1. it will start on the choke from cold,its when u come to start it after a run,sometimes it will start first kick,othertimes about 10 kicks and it stinks of fuel like its flooding,i have noticed tho if you leave a few seconds b4 u shut the bike off or turn the ignition on and off if its being hard to kick start and leave it,it will start easily?
  2. hi i recently took my bike to the garage as it wasnt running rite eg spluttering at high revs and not reving up though the rev range,they cleaned the carb,tryed upjetting it,checked the piston and powervalve all good it was still the same so they removed the airbox snorkal and now no spluttering and will rev rite upto the red line if need be but now its really hard to start ,sucking in to much air in now i supose would down jetting solve this the current jet is a 240,only mode is a big one exhaust.
  3. hi has anyboby used this,i have a yamaha dtr125 just wondering if its worth the the 12.00 price rather than the 68.00 my local motorcycle shop quoted me to have the carb cleaned as apparently is does the same thing from the inside out?
  4. hi i have tryed fitting this coil the holes are no where near very anoying,sent it back,orderd another coil that didnt fit http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5d32406375 the coil itself is to big,holes dont line up on the bike so i would suggest paying the extra and get a genuine one
  5. i have one of those coils it arrived yesterday.im a bit clueless of how to fit it lol,is it easy and have you noticed any difference in starting etc thanks
  6. ive been told its either a 210 or 240 main jet if its an import or something,my clocks are in kph does that mean its an import?
  7. im unsure what size jets in it at the mo mate ill check standard jet is a 210 going by that thread,the bike has a big one exhaust on it so i dont no if id have to upjet or not.as for the oil it a seperate tank
  8. its got power ,if you hold it there it will splutter let go of the throttle and it will pick up again untill it gets to that point
  9. its not leaking,i had a look on the net at some engines and it was there so nothing to worry about i hope.as for running still same problem still wont rev up to 12000rpm,reving to about 9000 since ive cleaned the carb,better that 6500 i supose

  11. is there ment to be a small hole under the engine where the crankcases join?
  12. ive just checked the plug and it was a whitey colour is that running to lean? its a brand new plug br9es,it was using a br8es was advised to change it to the br9es
  13. i think it maybe carb/fuel problem,it will rev to about 7000rpm now then it starts splutering badly if you hold it there,it feels like it wants to go more then its like it wants to cut not enough fuel or something when it gets to that point,any tips about how to clean the carb thanks
  14. the mark is lined up and it seems to be working,ive messed about with the choke and it seems to be sticking or something as it will rev straight up sometimes then it wont unless u play about with it the bikes been stood since august so maybe a carb clean.
  15. when i turn the ignition on i can here it,one of the the two cables has some black tape around the adjusters?
