  1. Nice one, cheers for that. She does run lumpy low down at the moment too, but I'm expecting that to be pilot jets and/or fuel filter which I'll have a look at this weekend. Are there any other differences I should be looking for?
  2. Carbs need balancing and pilot jets blocked I think!!!

  3. Hello everyone...I've recently become the proud owner of a 750 after many years of searching for the right bike!!! I believe I have a US import YZF...I say believe as I've not seen any documentation relating to this, but there are 3 wires running to the indicators if that proves anything? From memory previous Yamahas I've owned with the EXUP system exercise the valve when the ignition is first turned on, and I was wondering if this is the same for the 750 as certainly the only percevable operation when the ignition is on is the fuel pump priming the fuelk system. Any help would be very much appreciated. Also, would anyone know a good vendor in the UK to get OEM decals or good quality replicas made? I would like to fit the SP style seat unit and remove the pillion pegs etc Many thanks, Gizz.
  4. Evening all, Any ideas on lightening the clutch on an fzr 400 3tj? I've made sure the lever isn't fouled up, that the cable runs free and isn't kinked/snagged on anything, cleaned and greased the lever mechanism and screw thread, even taken the basket to bits and made sure everything is seated and free of burs and damage...yet when i build it back up its no better. I took the chance whilst it was in pieces to replace the plates and springs with the specified parts but still its made no difference...at the lever the pull is very heavy for what i'm used to with a cable operated unit, so i'm open too any suggestions on what the issue may be. Any ideas? Many thanks...Gizz.
  5. Hi peeples...I've an import 90's 3TJ, that has had a 1WG bottom end fitted prior to me taking ownership. Now, problem is that as there's not much on the net for the 3TJ, there appears to be even less for the 1WG. My problem is that i can't locate the oil pressure sensor on the engine...this maybe because it doesn't have one...or its possibly located under a cover or in a less obvious place...and the spare wire i have on the loom and hence the panel light, isn't connected to anything so i've no way of knowing when riding if i've low oil pressure. Can anyone help, tell me where the oil sensor is if there is one? Also, i've now nearly fully stripped the bike down and rebuilt it and amazingly it works...so i've come accross quite a few problems in the past few weeks so if i can be of any help to yoo's...drop me a line. Many thanks and keep sunnyside up...rubber side down!!!
