    Servicing

Havent a clue on pricing,, find a good bike garage rather than main dealer,,,,,,, or better again learn as you do it yourself,,,, so ya know what's what for the next time and for when things go wrong with the bike That's just my thought on it all
  13. I try to just not use the clutch as much. Neutral at lights,,,move to 2nd as soon as possible,,,, watch tragic movements carefully means no changing gear,,,, lights go red you click to neutral and roll to a stop,,,, correct revs when rolling means select gear without clutch. Just a few thoughts for you to consider before doing any work. You'll be surprised how much less ya can use the clutch when ya train yourself. Wouldnt be a fan of putting in lighter clutch springs
  14. Most of the time I get mine here www.thevisorshop.com
  15. Ok, had a wee look again 2day. Looks like the caliper pistons are at fault. The bottom 2 small ones on each side are hard to push back. The master cylinder and splooge hole seem to be working well, I can see fluid return through the hole when supposed to. All the pipes look in good condition and are not soft anywhere when trying to squeeze them. The disks seem straight enough when I put a straight edge iron ruler across them,,,didn't take them off. This only started happening straight-away after I replaced the old pads,,tyre,,,bearings,,,speed sensor. (I done them all at same time.) So am guessing I need piston and seals for the caliper ?
  16. Hey John, yep still have the good aul fazer it is always raining in Irl. Be good ta see ya. ill pm ya over the weekend
  17. Ok, thanks very much for your knowledge..cynic and drew I do look through the forums every now an again but never seem to post,,,,,, my bad, All is well with me and family. Bike has just got: 2 tyres,, brake pads all round,, flushed old brake fluid,, wheel bearings front an back,, new battery,,oil change,, air filter,, flushed and new coolant,, new plugs,,,,,,, think that's it. Am having front brake drag at the moment and can't seem to sort it out. Hopefully I won't have to overhaul the front calipers. Once again, cheers lads Pat
  18. Hey lads Can one of you tell me how my rubber diaphragm should sit in the cylinder please. When I fill the cylinder to the correct level,, should the diaphragm be put in ( flat, ie. all closed up ) or ( open, ie. all pushed out ) Many thanks: Pat P's,,, how u all keeping

  21. Nice looking bike The reed switch stunt won't stop the bike reving past 7k. Don't be reving the bike to 10k in neutral,,,,you will kill the poor think. Take care going fast as the brakes can't stop the bike good enough. There's a post on here somewhere about doing all this.
