  1. Other exhaust, tuning CDI or drill a hole in the original CDI at a specific spot, bigger jets and your bike will run fine. Will cost you a couple of hundred Euro max.
  2. Almost a year later the bike is still not ready The trackday was canceled and I hadn't much time to work on the bike. Next year a new chance. This is how she looks now Still need a lot of things to do..... The tank and the seat will be painted in matt black with glossy black highlights.
  3. Again a bit further in the good direction Next week some parts will get in and then I can build on....
  4. Use 15W oil and a couple of washers on top of the springs and you won't recognize the bike's handling anymore. A bit more oil (less airchamber)makes it more progressive as well. Greetings, Pico
  5. A couple of M14 washers and 15W fork oil will do the job for your 350LC. I had several 350LC's (4L0, 31K, 1WX) and did the same mod on the 4L0 and the 31K. It'll cost you about $10,- and is worth a fortune On the 1WX I did a fork swap with a fork from a 250 GP bike and a lot of other mods.
  6. Came a little bit further towards the "goal" an I have worked on the fork today. The wheels are finished and ready to be mounted. Will be continued.....
  7. Tonight I mounted the tyres on the rims: Tomorrow I will go on with the wheel hubs......
  8. Came this far yesterday: Still lots of things to do.....
  9. Yeah Paul, I ordered all the CMM issue's about this Chappy bike a couple of month ago. Thanks for the info.
  10. Got the frame back today. Coated in a silk gloss metalic grey structure coating. The pictures below don't give credit to the fine job the coater did. I will make pic's in the morning in btight sunlight. Together with the glossy black other parts I believe the contrast will be good. Bought some new Heidenau racing tyres for the Chappy today. They are nice and soft tyres and tomorrow I will mount these on the rims. That's rather easy as the rims are two halves that bolt together and will split in half for removing and mounting the tyres. Tomorrow the build-up of this bike will start and I will provide you with some pic's that show the progression.
  11. Some time has gone and the frame and other metal parts have been sandblasted ....and all parts were dropped off at the coating company I worked for previously. First parts came back with a glossy black outdoor quality coating. First all parts were KTL precoated. Next week the frame will be coated in a silk-gloss grey metalic structure coating. This will be the first time they use this particular coating. Hardley can't wait to see it....
  12. About a year ago I bought a Yamaha LB50 Chappy. It was not in a great shape but it was almost complete. This is a Yamaha twostroke that's rare in my country. : It is a Yamaha LB50 Chappy. It is a 50cc "minibike" with 2 gear automatic gearbox and mountain gearing. Carburator and manifold are missing and rearlight needs to be re-newed as well but the rest is fairly complete. In Thailand you even can get new parts for these bikes. Was at first red but som idiot painted it blue with a spraycan :smt013 Frame, headlight and mounts and bodypart underneath the buddyseat are mad of steel and will be powdercoated, probably in "Black Gripp" like the swingarm of my RZR special. The rims will be coated in a different color. Next year we will put it on the caravan when we go camping.
  13. Had to modify the frame to take the swingarm, had to modify the swingarm itself as well. Swingarm was still to wide at the pivot point after machining the pivot point so I had to make more space between the mushrooms on the frame. Machined them down a couple of milimeters to make it fit. We needed to make a new upper mounting point for the SZR660 shock and weld it into place and had to make some spacers fot the original pivot point for the SZR660 link And had to make some custom bogbones. Frontend was quite easy. Just a 5mm thick washer was needed to make it fit Tomorrow I will install the engine. I need to because I have a deadline.... On the 17th of april I'm going to drive the Assen TT circuit twice Then it needs to be ready, run-in and the carburator adjusted to the setup I run (+4mm stroker crank, modified and ported barrels, 2 into 1 intake with 38mm flat slide TMX carburator, Zeeltronic programmable ignition and tuned pipes) I'll keep you guy's posted.....
  14. Started a project 2 year ago. Started with a bare RD350F2 frame. This is how it looks so far: Frame is modified, fork is a Paioli USD from a 250 GP-Racer, swingarm is a TZR125, wheels are SZR660 and brake rotors are YZF750. Seat is a "one of". Front fender is a real carbon fender. Brake calipers (not shown on the pic's) are Spiegler 4 piston types. Engine is tuned (+4mm stroker crank, ported cylinders, 2 in 1 intake with 38mm flatslide carburator, Zeeltronic ignition and Billet Powervalves from Twostroke-shop) and will be installed next month as we need to do some work on the cylinders and head. Will get it finished this winter. Tank and seat will be painted pearl white with carbon decals. Bike will be road legal. Greetings, Pico
  15. If you send me your email address I will send you a PDF-partslist from that Chappy. I own one myself. It is up for restoration.... Next summer this baby will be on my caravan for the holidays. Greetings, Pico
