  6. liquidcooled is right the reads dont improve performance but they made mine rev alot smoother on racespec.co.uk they are £28.50 so they are worth chucking on u definetley need the dep pipes ans open the power valve and make sure u get a pre 91 cdi box if u cant get one let me know i should be able to get one off my mate jerry for £15-20 i can post it to u its worth every penny
  7. just give mine a thrashing today alex i got that dep front pipe for £135 in the end from ard racing components in walsall i have details if anyone needs em it is a very noticable difference to my old fresco{big one} i pulled away same as i usually would and the power valve seems to come in alot sooner and it was on the back wheel i was crapping myself but tried to control cause there was loads of people around it seems to have sacrificed a little bit of top end for a lot more bottom end which is fine for me a.r.d racing sell the complete dep system for £175 + p+p which is bloody reasonable

  9. john what colour is your bike and did u buy it from bristol my mate just sold a black s reg to a guy in cirencester for £1200 i think the one he sold had the old style power valve on it because the servo packed on the electric one
  10. right buddy follow these simple steps and your biike will be a beast change the exhaust dep is chrome and looks the beezkbeez although dtr125s pre 1999 wasnt restricted through the exhaust so ur front pipe should be alright the deps have a good performance enhancer then get the carb rejetted to a 240 they are 210 when standard then a set of boyussen racing reeds and obviously open the power valve and all dtrs from 91 til 98 were derestricted through i think it was the cdi the black box in the rubber mount under the fuel tank change that for one off a pre 91 and ul be sorted the pre 91 although looks different still works with all the stator coils and so on obviously mine being a g reg i dont need to upgarde my cdi unit let us know how u get on oh yes and for some better sound and very slight improvement on accelleration get a k&n filter

  13. alex engine size means nothing nowadays poimt being a 1.6 mondeo is quicker and has same top speed as a 2.0 mondeo i dont need to prove nothing to any 1 i know its true yes thats me in me corsa van

  15. listen i dont care what anyone says ive been working on cars since i was 13 and weve done some mad projects and alex supras aint all that special not blowing my own trumpet but ive know a fucking lot about cars im a city and guilds level 123 mechanic ive helped working on cars for redline magazine they are based up the road in bath ring them and ask them they know theyve featured it and drive it at castle coombe. richards brother owns castle st motorsport in weston super mare and does alot of castle coombes personal track cars and he knows what to do lets face facts he made a twin turbo conversion for a sierra xr4x4 2 litre twin cam he dabbles in everything richard is a serious petrol head and he said he is more than willing to have a quick race with any of u trust me when it comes to cars i know what im on about

  17. trust me its been dynoed all the bollox this is one thing im not going to argue about because i have been in the passanger seat whilst richard was doing 165mph and u just have to be in it to believe it its like another guy on a dvd i got who has the fastest one in the world 192mph heres spec for richards 178 turbo [like the size of a dinner plate lol] dragon forged pistos gas flowed head big valves some japanese supercharger twin dump valves forge front mounted intercoller hks exhaust system blitz turbo timer 22psi of boost pipercross cams titanium springs powermax crank power boost valve powermax con rods and gudgoen pins mritz electronic ignition system iridum plugs and upgrade leads thats just some of the mods and believe me i helped do alot of the work to it its cost him just over 40k on the engine alone trust me this car is fast ive been on the cruising scene for years and ive seen faster cars like gary with the skyline 752 bhp 192 mph and what about the guy in some of the car mags a couple of months who had a feisa turbo tuned with all the bits and topped out at 185mph which is faster than the pulsar i am not even going to argue with ne1 cause i know im right this time :wink: :wink:
  18. my mate let me borrow his nissan pulsar gtir today that is a fecking animal tuned to do 178mph 0-60 4.1 secs and 473 bhp with a t78 turbo {hybrid} and a supercharger kit it gets mag features all the time its the 3rd recorded fastest pulsar in the uk he had nos but it just didnt need it so it was taken off standard interior stereo and bodywork it has a spax suspension and wolfrace 17 inch alloys its truly amazing there are loads of other mods on it but i cant remember what else there is i was on my way back from work and some guy in a bmw m3 overtook me and give me the wanker sighn so i took it down to 3rd gear blipped the throttle and left him standing why do bmw drivers think they are something special especially proved him wrong a new m3 against a 1991 h reg nissan he thought he was clever the pulsar is a rapid little hatchback with a 2.0 turbo 4 wheel drive with a supercharger i will admit it that pulsar scared the fuck out of me but i enjoyed it what an experience i will have to get ome soon i love em

  24. ive seen alot worse in a car it was my mates ford escort rs shitty turbo he came to me said it made a bang and cut out i looked at the engine the conrod put a 6 inch hole in the back of the bloch and when i took the head off the piston in number 2 cylinder was buried in the head luckily enough i found a smashed up rs turbo in my mates scrap yard so i put that engine in the car it ran lovely went quite well then he wrapped the car round a lamp post so now he has a nissan pulsar gtir he gave me a lift back from work last night and fuck pulsars are fucking fast for a small hatch back the engine in the pulsar is a 2.0 turbo 4 wheel drive with a fron mounted intercooler and a t4 turbo im a bit of a car lover to i love bikes more though. he came down a dual carriageway doing 145 mph and i was holding the seat and i could hardly move with the force throwing u back in the seat is it the same on a suuperbike that does 160 mph i bet those big bikes take some getting used to
