  1. Just helped a mate rebuild a TZR 250, its 2MA model I think, anyway just wondering/hoping if anyone out there knows what the single red light is for on the dash, it seems to illuminate when you exceed 50mph, any thoughts or definate answers? Cheers all.
  2. Hey guys & gals, has anyone out there ever fitted a pair of 41mm carbs to a TDM/TRX 850? If so get in touch as I'd like your opinion on how they run and if its worth doing or not.
  3. Currently building a Streetfighter based on TDM850 3vd 1992, heard that you can fit 41mm Flatslide Kehien carbs on but I'm wanting to find anybody that has already done this to see if it is actually worth doing before I spend obscene amounts of money. Just before you guys ask yourselves "what the fuck is he using a TDM for" I'm 6' 8" and its one of the only few bikes I fit on comfortably, but when I get a few pics of it on here you are all gonna shit yourselves, its half built and already looks the bollocks, some of the mods are as follows; ENGINE: Blue printed, bored to 878cc, Wiseco hign comp pistons & rings, Gasflowed by Cosworth, Dyna ignition coil, Tyalor leads, K&N clamp ons & breather, K&N Stage 3 jets, Vance & Hines clutch, one-off hand made twin exhuast(SP1 style). Orginal frame & tank, altough they have been chopped and sculpted a bit R1 '04 forks lengthend internally & externally by Sprintek, front & rear calipers R1 '98 yolks, replacement stem by Sprintek JMC braced & lengthend swingarm CBR 600 FM wheels R1 '98 seat unit with one-off LED lights R1 '04 front mudguard Yam logo fret work & LED indicators Speed Triple Fly screen, going to have in built Digi clocks & Sat Nav And lots of other little trick bits, so if anyones interested I'll hopefully be posting some pics up soon to make you all drool and winge like a small envious child
  4. YOSHI all the way baby, no doubt
  5. If this is your first bike on the road then take it steady, they're big & heavy but bloody quick, maybe not R1/Blade quick but if its your firsty bike it could be quite a handfull.
  6. I've always liked the TZRs, nice piece of kit just go steady on it and watch out for those bloody car drivers
  7. Corbin do some aftermarket seats, but you've chosen the wrong bike if comforts your thing, lol
  8. Well funny you should ask, if you are able to find GOOD QUALITY pics of the same model with the graphics you want I should be able to reproduce them for you.
  9. If the Cam Chain is on the same side as the clutch it could be that you're hearing or simply the adjuster needs freeing to take up the slack, only thing I can think of that is likely to stay constant with the revs, had same suspect noise from TDM a while ago and turned out to be a sticky Cam Chain Adjuster.
  10. Demon tweeks do some kits otherwise you'd be best off going through some of the MOTO-X mags. Have you tried turning the power valve upside down?, used to give the older models an extra boost.
  11. I'd go for the good old carbs, whip them out strip a clean, refer to manual for setting up they might be running rich if all your plugs are black and sooty, if this doesnt seem to work try checking your HT leads for any damage could mean a new set if the plugs aren't being supplied the spark they need, last but not least it could even be the coil not putting out the spark in the first place. A nice bit of sunday afternoon tinkering for you there.
