  1. I'm sure it's a common topic, but I can't find any help through search. Is there a conversion kit to change the R6 headlight from being on one side to both? I keep reading about this highbimmin site that used to do it but it seems to be non existant now. Just tired of the constant, "hey one of your headlights is out"
  2. Yea it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me either, so I'll keep the double windshield then.
  3. May be a dumb question. But on a sport bike in normal riding position where should the wind hit the rider when it comes off the windshield? My bike has a double bubble windshield and I thought it was great cause I can duck behind it real good but when I'm in normal riding position it hits me right in the face a drives me nuts. But someone told me you want the wind directed at your chest to apparently lift your weight off your seat a bit. Is this true?
  4. Whoever had the bike before me, welded brackets onto a sealed beam headlight. So when that burnt out I was kind of stuck so I bought an OEM headlight off ebay but it didn't come with a bulb and the seller told me it had to come from yamaha. But that H4 does look like it might fit. Or yea I may just have to bring the headlight into a parts store and se what they can figure for me. Thanks

    Cornering Tires

Thanks i'll look into those. I pretty well ride my corners right to the edge of the tire so I'm interested to see how these grip. The bike has a bridgestone battleaxe tire on the rear and the tire seems to be good for nothing more then drifting, as it has a pretty flat center and in the corners it loses grip, it's a very hard compound tire too.
  6. Hey there, is there a bulb from say a regular automotive parts store that will work in the 82' seca headlight? Or am I stuck going to the yamaha dealership to get one.

    Cornering Tires

I'm looking for opinions on the best tires for someone into extreme cornering. The people I ride with all swear by Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs. Any other suggstions?

Hey there, I'm new too. I've used this forum a lot for answering questons but never actually joined. So once I bought my second yami I figured I'd join. I have an 82' xs400 in the midst of restoring a bit, and I just bought an 05 R6 this year.
