  1. I notice there's no option regarding secondhand bikes. I usualy purchase bikes via fleabay/ free-ads or 'word of mouth', so the questionnaire is invalid for me. I take the point about not knowing older bikes Yampug. A few years ago I owned an XS 650, I called a local Yamaha dealers about some con-rods for for the bike pointing out it was a American spec engine. The bloke at the end of the phone didn't have the foggiest what I was talking about . You cannot expect them to be familiar with every single model to be fair. But it would be nice if most dealerships knew of any bike more then 10 years old .
  2. That's a shame. Hopefully catch up another time . Hoping to get a few run outs this year. Squires, Rock & Bike show, Piece hall show and a few others .
  3. SRC- Suzuki Riders Club. Don't have anything to do with SOC anymore Paul (kicked out). If you fancy going there next week too, give us a shout .
  4. I went to the '07 TT and wasn't really impressed with the huge expense, the closure of Jurby Airrfield and the fact we were only allowed to drink in fixed areas . I doubt I would go again. Saying that, I've booked ferry tickets for this Manx, so hopefully it'll be better .
  5. Went to Southport and then had a spin around the back roads around the Maghul, Ormskirk areas. Didn't go too far as the little lady isn't well .
  6. Planning to go next Sunday Paul. Hopefully with some of the SRC boys (and girls) . Hope to go to the Sqaure & Compass public house and have a go on the steam choo-choos which I believe is nearby . Could you wait 'til next week . Or go next Sunday too . Ian.
  7. You may have seen this, but this is how I view technology . Caution; lots of swearing. Sony Releases New Stupid Piece Of Shit That Doesn't Fucking Work

    Hello!!

Hi Paul, There's still some cake if you want some . I didn't know you were on here mate, getting the XJ ready for the MOT so joined to get some advice and I thought I would check out the site, it looks pretty good here .
  11. Hiya peeps, I own a 1991 pre-divi XJ 600 and I need to fit new fork seals. The questions are, what grade fork oil and how much fork oil would I need in each fork leg? Do I need any special tools to replace the fork seals? I usualy just remove the brake calipers/ front wheel, undo the fork sliders and remove them. I then pop out the old seals, slap in the new ones and bung it all back together . Oh and I put some oil in the forks too . Do I need special tools? Is it a straight forward jobby? Thanking you in advance, Ian .
