Had a thundercat for 11 months now and put 10k on it commuting and a few rides out great all round bike i use mine all year round plenty of power and comfortable on long runs get the carbs balanced atleast once a year should help keep the vibration thru the bars down to a minimum i do an 80 mile round trip commute to work every day taking it easy you can get 200 mile per tank of fuel

Found this site www.bikecolours.com contacted them and they have the paint im ordering some they do a kit including primer and paint

Im wanting to do the same cant seem to find any touch up paint tho will let you know if i find a match

Just got a nice letter from my local constabulary the ******* want £60 from me in exchange for 3 points they have me down for doing 74 in a 60 on an A road my 1st points in 10 years i wldnt mind if i was givin it some welly in or near a built up area but this is a road that runs through open country side and has good clear vision why dont they just call them speed tax vans and be done with it

ive got a loobman ready to fit when i change the chain ive been oiling it every week and cleaning it once a month but the lovely british weather doesnt help that and using the bike all year round

My chain is due for replacement on my yzf600 thundercat has any one any recommendations for chains whats best o ring or x ring i had a standard oem o ring chain an sprockets fitted 7 months ago and now 8000 miles and a lot of bad weather later its about at the end of adjustment the sprockets are still in reasonable condition but im looking to replace them all together so looking for a good hard wearing all weather chain

Hi ive a 98 thundercat 39k yep they do seem to run a bit chuggy at lower rev's when i got mine i gave the air filter a good clean out fitted a new set of plugs gave the carbs a good clean out then got them balanced and adjusted the clutch did improve it a lot some good advise and how to's specific to the cat here http://www.yzf600r.com/

Being a bit of short arse is a consideration for me the thundercat is perfect size and weight wise anyone know anything about the kawasaki ER-6

im thinkin if i can pick up something reasonable i may have enough left to take my thunderct off the road and get the gearbox rebuild and tidy it up i will have a look at the terene and veradero they sound just the ticket thanks

wish they still made the thundercat would def buy 1 fairing a great help especially with all the lovely weather we get up in the lakes prob something between sports and tourer

Looking for any advise on what to get next my 98 thundercat is starting to show its age a little and starting to have the dreaded 2nd gear problem cant decide to replace or repair it at 36k not sure its worth it but then what cld i replace it with i do an 80 mile round trip commute thru the lake district every day in all weathers and being a way past 21 the sports bike position plays havoc with me bones so the R6 is out ive been lookin at the fzs fazer 600 anyone got any advise cheers

i have been lookin on some of the American forums where they have fitted mototeck undertails does any one know if this type of mod is road legal in the uk and if any UK companies do a version mototeck
