  1. few piccies from the show
  2. Im there tomorrow, old mans ticket, £11. Bargain
  3. If its no deeper than the tread pattern, i wouldnt worry
  4. Im soooo jealous of the climate out there
  5. In my view, modern paint strippers are piss poor. Likely to be quicker and less messy sanding it off
  6. Try jaybeebikerbits.com for crash mushrooms. Got a full set for my fazer last year, front and rear axles and frame, £75. Comes complete with all fixings. Dont forget to protect the rider too. Jacket/trouser with armour, and boots and gloves. Shop around, and if youve got the cash, haggle
  7. Well, the weathers certainly picked up these last couple of days. Loads of bikes out today, took both mine out yesterday, the cruiser in the morning, the fazer in the afternoon, bit cool on the legs after and hour or so, but no big deal. Was going to ride out to Newark autojumble tomorrow, Motorcycle News says its on, but good job I checked the jumble website, that says its next week. Just need to stock up on consumables (tiewraps etc) used through the year. Off to Stafford again next month, likely on the saturday, Im at donny on the monday for road bikes only trackday, hoping to get down to 2 minute lap time. id be well chuffed. Centre stand off this time, and ive "adjusted" the side stand for a little more clearance. Wore out the toe sliders on my boots last time
  8. Sounds like a good day out It was a nice morning, I went the other way, up through Derby and up to Ashbourne. Left Ashbourne and took the back road to matlock. took me up towards Middleton etc, and round the res at Carsington. Hardly any traffic on the road, decent tarmac, nice twisties, 70 miles in all. Bit chilly towards the end. Gonna do that run again on the fazer soon as it warms up (took the virago out)
  9. I'm not sure that id rely on the alignment marks at the adjustemnt end of the arm. When I last had the rear out on the fazer, I set it to the marks equally, then checked with straight edges down the bike to the front wheel, and was astonished to find what I thought was a significant misalignment. I set it using the straight edges
  10. Word of warning, the left turn to the pub is sharp and only just over the brow of the canal hump back bridge. Traffic pulling out cant see over the bridge, and neither can you
  11. Bang on with the New Inn. Me and the wife ate there Friday for lunch. Had a Bacon/cheese/mushroom baguette, had to leave the salad as full up. Nice down by the canal if the suns out. Enjoy
  12. You could also try the fazer owners club FOC
  13. Here you go. http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/acatalog/Troubleshooting-3P-PMG-&-RR.pdf Refer to step 3. You may save yourself the cost of a new reg/rect If it checks out ok, then ride the bike, then check again.
  14. Always start with the cheapest possible remedy first. Disconnect the cable at the bars, and oil it. I make a funnel out of blue tack, squeeze it on around the ferrule, hang the cable up, and fill the funnel with engine oil. Overnight, the oil should run down the cable inner and out at the bottom. Next cheapest is an oil change.
  15. Not familiar with the bike, but I assume its a wet clutch When was the oil last changed. Whats the mileage and do you have any history on the cluthc plates being replaced. Have you tried slipping into neautral while sat at the lights. Are you adjusting the clutch according to the owners amnual. Have you oiled the clutch cable in ints outer sleeve
  16. That sounds about right to me. Who told you you need a new one, and what problem have you been having. Describe.
  17. Workshop? Its an operating theatre
  18. Definitive answer would probably come from the Local Planning Authority (Council). Trouble is, if you involve them, you might just find out that you need building regs etc. My view is, if it holds a motor car or motorcycle, then its a garage. If it holds the lawnmower and garden tools, its a shed
  19. Nice few hours out at the show. Bought myself a shooting stick. Good crowd on the day Not sure what this is/was Liked this one and this my favourite on the day. Honda C50. Seen a few like this now just look at those exhausts nice, but not quite as good nick as mine in with the scoots
  20. Off to the show tomorrow, Newark, Notts, for a mooch around
  21. Thumbs up from me. My biggest regret in my old age is never learning to play an instrument
