  1. Know the feeling, walked into a bike shop yesterday to have a look, ended up walking out minus £45 with a new pair of gloves in my hand.I didnt need them but still bought them!
  2. I'm needing two new silencers for my XJ900.The cheapest one i can find so far is a Motad full system for £250. Its only the silencers on my bike that have had it so i was thinking of getting some universal cans to fit on instead.I found a really nice pair on Ebay brand new for £70 which is not bad. Would i ruin my bike if fitting these on?
  3. he he he what a bell end!
  4. does this really work? I've heard of putting in small amounts Acetone helps improve things performance wise
  5. They should be brought back and aired on TV these days just for a laugh (although they still make a very good point!)
  6. Decided to go out for my first decent ride since getting the old XJ900 and since i only passed my test last Thursday.Met up with my mate on his CBR600 and off we went down to Aviemore in the Highlands.Weather was ok,cloudy but dry.Had a great run, just taking my time and getting used to 2 wheels.Only one hairy moment when a pheasant decided to try and land on top my head! Every biker that we passed smiled, waved and nodded, why cant car drivers be more happy??? Anyway i just wanted to share with you,i'm off work this week so i'll be getting a few more miles under my belt. For an old bike the XJ900 was great fun with loads of character and very comfy.
  7. nice one thanks guys and girls
  8. Hi folks Just recently got myself a 1990 XJ900 so i thought i should join you lot and say hello! Really pleased with it so far,i just need to get a pair of new cans for the back as they have been repaired with chemical metal and are a bit ropey! Donald
