  1. i second that, YBR125 is the way to go!! got one myself, been riding around 7 months now.. its just so easy to maneuver, easy and cheap to maintain, very easy to clean.. its a dream for us cbt ppl if the custom cruiser style is what appeals, try looking into the ybr125 custom. never ridden one, but some guy at my uni has one, sat on it.. its much more confortable!! id actually prefer a ybr125 custom, but my ybr is good enough for now, til i get me a bigger bike (and a licence obviously )

    ybr 125 tyres

i have a ybr125 myself, people swear by the michelin sporty, but myself, have michelin m45, front and back.. its what the mechanic put on, because he couldnt find the sporty's... well, not his fault they're classed as scooter tyres!!! the m45's are decent enough though
  8. Im in , weapons.. naaa - anybody heard of the good ol' "glasgow kiss"?? - no offence to anybody from glasgow, im unsure as to why its called that!! and if aimed correctly, thrusting the nose bone up enough, may lead to it being lodged into the brain, causing permanent damage!!! stealing scumm!!! another mate at uni, was a victim today.. was real upset for him, a scooter, but still!! it was his transport to uni, and his income (he does deliveries on it).. some teen chavs thought they could make off with it.. they twats broke the steering shaft, tryna break the steering lock!! he'd rather have it stolen, at least he could claim insurance!! instead, he's got a whopping cost to fix it!! was well p*ssed off!! :pissed-off:
  9. Ive got a ybr125, and got a sidestand, and centrestand.. and no cutout switch/engine kill switch .... Ralphc, i'd recommend, checking for loose wires, (if it is not the battery and fuse).. maybe just a bad connection to the battery itself.. hope this helps..
  10. got my exams too, 1st year at uni.. BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYBODY!!! But for some, the saying goes "if u havent learnt it in 5 months, u aint gonna get it in 5 minutes" - well, prepare nice and early

    scaryy as.....

having read the whole thread, theres simply one word coming out of my mouth... "f*ckingchavdimwitw*nkersillytw*twhoneedstogetaf*ckinglife" He can give it all the big talk, and call ppl w*nkers (mind you, he used a plural word, implying all of us) over the net, but be reassured, if i bump heads with him, it'll be more than bumps on his head!!! uzi_999

    Bike Stolen :(

I TOTALLY SECOND THAT!!!!!! Readin up on all these thefts has really outright p*ssed me off. Im sorry to hear bikes getting stolen, hope u and all the other victims of bike theft get em back, hope the thieving twats suffer as accident, in which the bike stays sweet, but the tw*t is launched at 80mph into a lampost!!!
  13. (not sure what the above post is - i think its to strain our eyes, but when highlighted its ) anyhow, the 125 to get, YBR125, got one myself. and its just so lovely.. easy, cheap.. not very good looking, but worth every penny!! and can take torture!! and a drop here and there!! bulletproof reliability.. and good enough for me, 'til i get money and experience to move up.. and ideal beginners bike, and have never heard anything bad about it..
  14. Well, a distributor in north east london is always available if needed.. and he goes by the name of uzi_999

    Twin lamps

i suppose its like my ybr125, with (literally) a web of wires in there!! i was thinking of dominator headlamps (the twin ones), and i was contemplating that i could just pull the wire back to where it comes from (under tank-ish) and only leave enough wire there for a full lock on the steering either direction, then get some sort of wire tubing (like a tube with a slit going down it) and use that instead.. a bit of insulation tape, matching the tube in colour to seal the slit, and hey presto
  16. got myself a ybr125, had a speedfight 100 and insurance was around £180 TPFT, in a garage, etc. Got 0 years NCB, and 3 points. Am 20 years old, but have been driving cars for 2 years, so 2 years experience. when i got my ybr125, it went up by around £50ish. if i remember correctly.. Im insured with h&r insurance, and they are really good to deal with found them thru gocompare.com If you cant seem to get it low, I would also advise you to invest in a thatcham approved lock and chain, the difference in the premium, 'should' pay for the chain and lock, well that what they say. Even so, u still have an 'uber'-tough chain and lock!! I would say get an almax one, expensive, but watch the videos here: CLICKY Hope this helps

  19. FUCKING B*STARDS :pissed-off: :pissed-off: I just hate them TWATS who seem to think that bikers do not use the roads too!! Its like they dont see us.. I wish u a quick recovery mate, but make sure u sponge the shit out of the twat!! I mean really sponge it!!! I had a near miss yesterday afternoon!! idiot seems to think he was in the right!! "your allowed to overtake a bus in london, when it stops to pick up passengers" his exact words!! the reply he got "well, not when theres a mad fucker like me coming, and with my hi-vis and headlight on in pure daylight" I actually got off my bike, and made the twat reverse!! Realised that a knuckle-protecting glove results in a LOUD sound when knocked against a car window! He thought I was gonna smash it!! HAHA twat!! But sorry to say, there are twats out there, and they will seem to think that we magically come out of nowhere!! Wish you a fast recovery, and really hope the driver gets taught a good lesson!!
  20. ermm, how do i go about deleting it
  21. Now that's what we NEED, thinking for ourselves.. not a copy n paste jobbie, that a 6 year old can do! Whilst being unaware that the message will offend people!!
  22. yup, like wed be pulling wheelies at 80mph, in a 30mph zone especially me on a ybr125 i honestly dont think that theyd go that far, unless we're riding real stupid
