  1. now sorted, the problem was the choke plunger was stuck/seized (fast idle valve) so needed to be removed cleaned and lubed up so not a big job and no parts needed, the main dealers said they have only had one more fz1 n in with the same problem so its not gonna be a re call job, thanks for those who replied .......

    Need advice

sounds to me you would be much better off getting your leg over that fzs1000 than the missus...
  3. hi, the 014 bridgestones are a great road tyre so are the pirelli diablo super corsa tyres, i use them both on my fz1 and zx10r road bike and track bike r6, the diablo super corsa give more grip than the 014 s but dont last as long, i never rated the standard dunlops. if you want to try a pair of my pirelli diablo super corsa tyres which have only done 6 practise laps give me a shout, super sticky but like i said ya dont get big miles out of them. daz
  4. yea got ya, ill look into it mate an see what i can find out. thanks daz
  5. does the bike clunk when put into first gear and jump forward then cut out mate ... daz
  6. hi, you can hear the servo motor turning when the key is turned but the servo wired have been cable tied out the way on my fz1 as it had a full race system fitted.
  7. hi mate, i had many r6 bikes from the old carb model to the new fuel injection model.. in fact 8 in all, the clutch can be worn even with 8k on the clock believe me i know, if it doesnt help adjusting it then just put some new plates in it,it will not be the oil either in my opinion as i used fully and semi synthetic in my r6 bikes including my race bike, semi synthetic being the best choice for a road bike, its not a hard job and the plates aint expensive but shop around instead of getting robbed from a main dealers. i can send you my number if it helps. thanks daz
  8. yea may also put some fresh fuel in it so see if that cures the problem, as i say it was fine before it was put away in september for the winter, just never had this problem with any other yamaha bikes i had. daz
  9. hi mate, you had the same problem then, do ya think its a battery problem cos i was thinkin more like re mapping it again , its got a full akraprovik system and power commander and thought the cold weather was making it go funny. shall i put it on a optimate for a while and see how it goes. thanks daz
  10. hi mate, yea just cable tie the power valve cables out the way, the r6 will run ok with most race cans but if you fit a full system you will probably need a power commander... daz

    FZ1 extra's

hi mate, i got a full akrapovic system fitted on my fz1 with removable baffle and it looks and sounds awesome, my tail tidy is a evotech one and looks cool, you can get the gel seats off e bay or any yamaha dealers like cmc . check the photo gallery and look at my fz1 to see if ya like the exhausts and tail tidy . daz
  12. im with you on this one goff, i would not feel safe with out them on now, i ride with 6 other lads on sports bikes and they all have there lights on as well, and i noticed most other bikers seem to have em on now days ....
  13. hi mate, just fit the akrapovic can and cable tie the servo cables out the way, i did the same with my 2006 r6 and the same with my fz1 n as i got a full akrapovic fitted, the cables are not needed on a after market races cans mate. thanks daz
  14. its a no win situation really you can get knocked off with em on or off its what ever you feel safer with i guess, i just feel that bit safer with em on but thats because i always had them on and never had a accident ... every one to there own i guess
