Hello all,
i just disconnected the clutch cable on my drag star, and put it back (working on the handlebar). I measured the exact position of the 2 nuts at the lower end of the cable.
Put everything back the way it was, but now i notice that when the bike is in gear, and i pull the clutch lever, it doesnt seem to be completely free rolling, as if it was in free. I tried adjusting the nuts so the clutch gets pulled more, but it doesnt seem to help.
Is that normal? Should the bike feel completely free when i pull the clutch lever?
thanks
Peter
the way i would test it is take it on a run and see if it slips in a high gear not sure on drags tho good luck

Well pal after many dealings with paul i have found him very helpful and parts have always been good, and the one part that was incorrect i was fully refunded and i sent it back to him, then in a phone call later that month it just out of interest i asked if he had got the part back and turned out the part had not got back to him and he had not mentioned it too me i asked him, i would use paul again anyday without any worries, before you start going on about too much about wrong parts check your bike has the correct wheels fitted it is possible if the rear sprocket is wrong someone has fitted a different rear wheel, for example my TDR has an R1 front caliper fitted and if i did not know that and ordered TDR brake pads they would not fit
but it would not be the fault of the supplier would it now, an also if you are in the us what he hell are you doing oredering parts from the uk surely there is a us company able to supply chains and sprockets
I to have used and recomended them afew time ive had lot off parts for all my bikes and had no probs tuch wood sorry to hear about your bad news but think this guy mite be rigth good luck anyway

I have this little yamaha bike
Very low mielage for the age of the bike 11,000
Previous owner had it dry stored for 3 years
Since owning the bike i have carried out the following work
New plug
New lead
Forks rebuilt with seals
New air filter fitted
Light bulbs all round
Carb removed and cleaned
New battery
Oil change
The tyres and brakes are good all round
I have also put a full 12months of tax on the bike and had an mot carried out at the same time
The bike runs sweet and hasn't let me down at all whilst i have used it
Looking to sell it and was wondering where is best to advertise a little bike like this?
Any help would be appreciated.
look at some of the sites mcn bike trader ect ect and see what your bike is going for to get an idea good luck

In Ireland, during this Weather, its safer not to go riding. The weather is one thing, but the tiny roads are another. I have fallen off so many times during the winter, it was nearly becoming part of my Christmas Cheer. Broke my Collar Bone 2 years ago and I was only going about 20KM. Spent Christmas in a bad way.....
what ever the weather tyerpresure plays a big part just 2psi low and you are off
check it riligeously makes a big difference good luck n ride safe

look at the delivery details and only pay by paypale account if you aint got one then set one up it would gauarantee youras one or two of you may be aware, i`m trying to reserect a bag of bolts into an XS400.
i am at the stage now where i may have to buy from abroad for a few parts and i am concerned.
this could be my first time buying from abroad.
we all know of someone who has been conned or fiddled by scammers abroad...
what i would like to know is what i need to look out for when buying from overseas.
what have you lot come across?? who should i avoid? do you lot know of any companies that give a very bad service to thier overseas buyers???
are there any really good companies that you lot can recommend???
in particular exhaust companies..... it`s a sad state of affairs when i can buy a new set of pipes from across the pond cheaper than i can get ones from the UK??
get it or your money back good luck you cant go wrong with paypale happy new year to you

Why is it, no matter where I look, the downpipes and x valve on my Genisis are impossible to locate?
Surely someone out there knows where I can find replacement downpipes and valve.........yes I know that Yamaha will do it for silly money..... however finding the parts through a breaker seems to be my only option and yet so far no joy.
Anyone that can point me at the right breakers will make my day.....week ....Year!
FZR 1000 XUP Genisis 3LG 89-90
So please, if you know of a breakers that can help me please call 07908656099
thanks guys
