  1. As above, unless they specifically show you contravening the relevent rule, fight it. once you open your case the clock should stop so to speak, keep everything logged by email and seek professional advice where nescessary.
  2. From the photo, a combination of a significant lack of lube and lean running. A lean DT50MX will run, and it will probably do so for weeks on a normal town-based riding pattern, until you are on a long open-throttle run somewhere between Hungerford and Newbury (by the Crown pub) and then it grinds to a halt. iirc the stock 50 comes with an 88 size main jet, i was running a 98 with a 60cc bore kit which was slightly rich but perfectly useable, you may want to decrease your sprocket ratios for your newly found power output, i was running a 48T rear and 13T front (numbers may be incorrect as this was 7 years ago, but smallest rear and second largest front), at 60kg body weight it suited me fine, adjust to accomodate. with regards to lube, the oil pump in the 50MX is exactly the same as the one in the 80MX, it is just adjusted differently for the additional displacement, if you have a haynes manual it will tell you how to set it up, if you run the 80MX set up to accomodate the big bore you cant go wrong, i could scan the page and send it to you if needs be just let me know, i even have a 60cc bore kit that i never used which is in the for sale section. If an engine is running out of parameters it wont necessarily "seize" solid, my DT50 was hacking along quite happily and then faded out and died and would kick over all day, occasionally backfire but would not run due to the piston rings being destroyed as a result of lean running.i "seized" it twice and not once was it stuck solid, it would spin over but had no compression and would just fart occasionally. Harvey, have tried to PM you but i think here is a fault in the system (says my inbox is full... but it definitely isnt, as i have no friends and nobody talks to me), is your bike a G-reg or earlier?
  3. Butter can be used to style your moustach and/or beard in the absence of wax. A useful tip, peeps... you heard it here first.
  4. I run cameras front and rear In the car for this reason, I will admit I am particularly prone to road rage and with a f*cking great bullbar up front im somewhat unforgiving of idiots, however now when im shopping for insurance ive noticed the question being asked "have you had an accident in the last 5 years REGARDLESS OF FAULT" ... which kind of makes the idea of fault irrelevant as either way you will get fucked over which is worth considering when you're out on the road and the red mist descends. Currently without a bike (FUCR is buried in the garage, not done fuck all with it), however with the recent developments of dashcams and helmetcams I would be very tempted to have one equipped, you see all these youtube videos of butthurt cyclists with them on when a bus cuts them up so probably worth considering wearing one on me lid if I ever get back out on 2 wheels again!. Realistically though, mirror removal/criminal damage will be a nightmare should the prospective bellend take your reg number or have footage then its game over. Ita fun while it lasts, but you pick your fights... live by the sword die by the sword and all that. As a comparison, ive had my car licence 6 years and my bike licence 7 years... had 3 shunts in the car (1 yr no claims) and 0 on the bike (7 yr no claims), you will be much more aware of your mortality on a bike than in a car, but the other party may not be so much, hence you have to look after yourself, no matter how hard you try you wont spin out a nissan micra when you're riding a fireblade.
  5. Oh, 'cus god forbid my mankini pics should happen to make it out onto the internets... HA, joke's on you, they're already out there!, im stuffing my foamy goodness into everyone broadbands as we speak.

  8. Alas, it was Mistress Goff who first aroused my interest... but, like a christmas puppy, she left me... and now with Sasha nowhere to be seen, it seems Bippo has now disappeared aswell no idea where Beanz is... On a slightly related note... does anyone else remember Goffs tightly-clad PVC photos she used to put up here?... holy crap what a thing to find at the tender young age that i was... never went back to find that magazine in the woods everyone was talking about at school.
  9. Then that doesn't explain why Bips would be there?... unless... she was just watching? O.o urh...

  18. Must have been nice to get out and about for a while, i am without a bike currently. Project TURD is still out in California, some jobsworth fun haters have got involved and stopped it coming back to our shores, Project FUCR is in the garage way way way away from ever being finished, Both FJs have been sold, haven't seen the XJ turbo for a couple of years now although i did drag the DT out of the shed last weekend which made me smile... it's gonna look amazeballs when its sitting in my front room! (watch this space June 2017) So yeah, the only bike i've got to play with is one with f*cking pedals on... and that's no fun, im going to have to start wearing budgie smugglers and riding in the middle of the road :/
  19. Hey peeps. I've given up trying to find a top yoke to fit F.U.C.R, so im looking in to making one, I have the machines necessary available but am undecided as to exactly what spec of material i need. I've been looking at Alluminium 6082T, but am stuck between getting it in 5/8 (15.9mm) or 3/4 (19.5mm), the originals were closer to 3/4 but had webs machined into them, this one ideally is going to be solid, just a couple of 10mm holes to mount my dial brackets but thats it, the ignition switch is now down beside my left knee and telltales inside the clocks (what a f*cking job that was, need fingers like a gynecologist)
  20. http://i.imgur.com/u2gHHJ8.webm Bollocks... how do i embed this?... Alex???

It costs around £800-£1200 for shipping, i buy them all over the internet its sort of like autotrader, they display a price for the car (refered to as FOB price), and a price for the car and shipping combined (the C&F price) and an option for the car shipping and marine insurance (CIF price), you basically find a car you like, message the seller much like you would do on eBay, negotiate the price and once you've agreed they send you an invoice for the required amount. Now here's where the alcohol helps... you send an international payment to the sellers bank account in Japan, and once they confirm your payment has been received they load it onto a ship and email you the the estimated delivery time, vessel name e.t.c and they also mail you a de-registration certificate, commercial invoice and bill of loading. these documents then get sent to your shipping agent (im using one in Southampton) who unload it when it gets here, notify HMRC/NOVA and invoice you for the import duty (10% of the C&F price) and VAT (20% of the C&F price) aswell as stevedore fees, agents fees e.t.c (a further £250) The one i bought over in October cost me £1350 for the car and the shipping, after duties and fees and everything else it owed me £2000, so it soon adds up. part of the worry is knowing what to bring in that i can move on pretty easily, You can also import bikes from Japan aswell, i've made enquiries but they dont offer RoRo shipping on those, and i dont fancy filling a container full.
