  1. Wow, freehand pics are very impressive! Definately a talent. RE:- CAD jockey status - need any help? I just got made redundant from CAD job, would gladly relocate for scenery like that!
  2. While I was driving down the A40 the other day, (going a little faster than I should have been) I passed under a bridge only to see a copper on the other side with a radar gun laying in wait. The copper pulled me over, walked up to the car, and with that classic patronising smirk asked: "Runway too short?" To which I replied: "I'm late for work." To which he asked: "What do you do?" I responded: "I'm a rectum stretcher" The copper was surprised and confused : "A rectum stretcher, and just what does a rectum stretcher do?" "Well," I said, "I start by inserting one finger, then I work my way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in, work Side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly but surely stretch the hole, until it's about 6 feet." Then the copper asked questioningly and cautiously : "And just what do you do with a six-foot arsehole?" To which I politely replied : "You give him a radar gun and park him behind a bridge .." Speeding ticket: £105.00 Penalty Points : 3 Court costs: £45 Look on copper's face: Priceless
  3. Aren't we a grumpy sod! Near enough, £425. Thought wasn't bad at that money
  4. Well, Now i've been laid off from work I got bit more time to get tweaking the FZR while jobhunting. Took it to my Dad's workshop, got started on the forks today (overhead crane is SO handy!) and got a few of the cosmetic tweaks done. Looking forward to getting all the wee jobs done and getting out before really bad weather starts!

    Fame

hmmm, you're brave - can you imagine the possible responses to that one?!?!? My guess is you were in a music video..... (i'm bein good; could've been a lot worse! )
  6. There's plenty of wind flyin round the forum at times....
  7. Oh dear. This dude is gonna find out he's criticising the wrong person. Brace yourselves....
  8. There's a full Micron system on the FZR i've bought. I started to fiddle with the fairing, noticed some fixings missing. Upon further investigation, i noticed that the brackets where the bolt positions would be aren't there. Assume these have been removed or were part of the exhaust system. I'll fabricate something up to allow securing of the fairing, tho also looks like the panels have been trimmed at the rear to allow clearance for the system. Anyone else encountered similar?
  9. Thanks. It has a few niggles, but don't they all! Gives me something to tinker at.
  10. I like crayons, i can make some lovely pics with my packet of Crayola. My mum puts them on her fridge. Not everything that has teeth & bites is a bad thing Goff....
  11. Check out this guy. Decided that best way to clean his chain was to put his bike on the stand, start it, put it into gear then use a rag. Can you guess whats gonna happen........ My link
  12. Good luck with the sale mate, and with the SV! You're always welcome here at the asylum.
  13. Hey sweetie - hope you're keepin the pressure on this dude to get yours hands on his Gixxer......
  14. Anyone else find that when you're typing a post, the writing disappears off the right hand side (behind the smilies box) & that when you want to insert a smilie and click on the 'Show All' icon, the list disappears behind the previous posts and also doesn't show the previews? Or is it just me? A quick query. When trying to add a link to a posting, the pop-up box where you enter the link address comes up away off to the LHS of the screen, can't see whats happening. Tried dragging it over but no luck. Am i just being thick (even more than normal) ??
  15. I recently started taking my oldest son (he's just turned 5) out in the fields on my trials bike. He sits on the tank in front of me. Even though speeds are low, first thing I did was to buy him a helmet. Got him measured and made sure it fitted well. Gotta be safe no matter what. As everyone else says, watch out for sales. I got him an RST moto-x style lid for £29 in Hein Gericke's sale. He loves it, its his pride & joy. Only problem is he's even more determined that he wants a bike of his own now!!
  16. Hi all! Just been pondering - know someone here can help me answer this. What is the difference between FZR600 & FZR600 Genesis?
  17. These pricks make me angry. But very few of these are really bikers, they're just chavs looking a way to get around.
  18. WOW, she was one angry woman. Can't say i disagree with anything she said though - or could improve on how she says it. BIG respect to the guys/girls putting themselves on the line for the rest of us.
  19. Glad to hear you're ok, thats the main thing. I'm sure you're gutted about the bike, but your health is the main thing. As you say, try to get bike back from insurance company for spares, it should be easy enough. At least the driver has accepted liability and seems to be a reasonable person. Some people can be real bastards after a prang.
  20. Jesus, what a garden! Keep pestering him for the Gixxer too. Sorry to hear bout the wedding, hope all works out. I reckon you're secretly trying to lure me in instead! I can just see it now....
  21. Bless, you always know the right thing to say! Not much chance of me cycling though I'd love to know where people get such bargains - i must be looking in wrong places. My wee FZR will do me in meantime. That'll be a nice wee winter project for ya - once you get this pesky wedding thing out of the way! Was on a bike run on Sat, thought of you (don't panic - wasn't rude ) cos there was a few trikes out with us including a Boom.
  22. Show off! Unfortunately not that cheap. but still a bargain in my eyes. Had to be bought, was afraid of making you cross Goff for being forum user & not having a Yam! What condition are the XJ's in?
  23. Thanks! Anyone wanna take a guess at how much i paid?
  24. As you may be aware I sold the FZR approx a month ago. WELL, I've just bought another one! It (another 3HE) was cheap as chips and couldn't resist it. Has mot for 10 months, new tyres, new brakes. Needs fork seals done and then cosmetics tweaked to my taste
