  2. words fail me drewps, thats the dogs bollox what a bike.well done mate
  3. sorry scoops but whilst it is nice seeing a perfect example of any bike at the end of the day they were built to ride and enjoy not to polish and clean then stand back and admire,so have to agree with kirri and dirty dt,scrapes and scuffs are bound to happen. it always makes me laugh when i see bikes advertisted stating never been out in the rain, mint condition what!
  4. great part of the world that merv could not believe the first photo and the sign post bad hindelang, spent a couple of winters there when i was stationed in germany.hope you had a good time there if you are intrested in what it looks like in the winter click on the link,i wrote an article for the ex forces site. http://baor-locations.co.uk/Hinterstein.aspx
  5. looking good drewps but best put it away before i pop round the corner and do a MCN spy shot..

    M&P

they are shit i bought a paddock stand and was lucky i was next to the bike when the paddock stand collapsed. i would not piss on them if they were burning oh sorry they are.
  9. today i was at rivington barn a large bikers meet, inside the main barn was a photo exhibition stand with photos of bikers coming over the top of the hills knees down and such like, there were three photos of me on my bike just out of intrest i asked the girl on the stand what the score was,£14.95 for an A4 print what for a photo of myself. or £3 for a copy e mailed. now i am not vain but i am tight so i asked who gave her permission to take my photo to which she replied i dont need permission. have found one of them on the internet but its imprinted across the photo copy right of the photography company. cheecky barstards.
  10. no chance i will have me own tent.
  11. as a tight old bastard i would also not be spending £200 on a giva rack and box as for panniers unless they came with the bike i would not bother either. no chance of me in a dinner suit unless they do them in leather.
  12. sorry but i really cant see what your problem is i also have a sports bike no panniers givi rack etc but never have any problems. i use a duffle bag with tent in sleeping bag, pillow spare tee shirts and underwear bungee strapsto grab rail and footpegs and have travelled from manchester to switzerland and also throughout the uk a small rucksack on my back with personal items camera washing gear etc so i cant see what your worrying about its only two nights.
  13. yeh you can save a fair bit but like any auction you do really need to know what your doing.there will be a lot of dealers there as well as private buyers and it can get a bit of a hassle, armed with parkers trade guide so you can see what current values are set your self a ceiling and DONT go above it,its to easy to get carried away,i bought a r6 well in book price only to find out the i had underestimated the cost of replacement fairing lost a £150 on that so never made that mistake again, ran the other two bikes for a year and made money. some bikes like your dragstar are booked a lot less than your asking price but you and i know people will pay more than book price for a good dragstar, dealers will just give you part ex price and are few and far between at auction.
  14. sorry but i will shoot you down in flames.. there are a few trade auctions for bikes and any bikes sold will be declared as accident damage. but there are plenty of bikes that are ex finance company re-possesions. i have had a couple of nice bikes which had been repos but you still need to be aware re condition some will come with warrantys but will cost extra
  15. the 100bhp only applies to French registered motorcycles. If you got a foreign one, you can use your 180 hp bike at any time. !
  16. happy birthday jim,have a good un.
  17. well coming round a bend of the slip road of the motorway rear suspension blew its guts out so i struggled in to the garage only to get another shock £787.24 for a new shock plus vat a total of £952. plus 2 hours labour + vat again after picking my self up and telling them no way we agreed on getting a hagon for £370 fitted all in well apart from vat. the only good thing was they offered me a courtesy bike great or so i thought..WHAT you want me to leave £800 deposit you have just taken £300 up front to order the shock. bollox to that taxi home another £12. so they can forget me buying my next bike from them.looks like i will be getting another yam

    Yamaha v's Benelli

stunning looking bike and having a test ride on one i now know why they are giving £2000 off list price, below 5krpm it coughs splutters and rides like a bag of shit above 5k it starts to perform but think i will stick to my triumph.

  23. well my monthly copy of classic bike arrived this morning and imagine my surprise on page 76 there is john blackie (blackhat) and his kawasaki h2,nice one john, great article and some cracking bikes.
  24. two months ago i had new bridgestone BT-23s fitted at a cost of £285 after going home a total of 8 miles i had a nail centre of my rear tyre,i had it repaired and have done 900 miles on it no problems but as it is a sportsbike i sometimes feel nervous at high speeds maybe on a smallerbike i would not feel that way as i have had many repairs over the years without problems,as i had only done 8 miles on a new tyre had it plugged but i now think i will get a new tyre peace of mind as fzr al says its the only point of contact between you and the road.
