currently working at tnt express edinburgh i ride a 1998 yamaha r1 although the weather up here is very temperamental and get out when i can

can anyone help me i have a r1 1998 model and when i bought it i noticed that when you turn the lights on the digital speedo sort of resets itself and the horn stops working also when you try to use your flashers or high beam the same thing happens suggesting to me that there is an earth problem does anyone know what that sounds like and where i need to look to fix this have tried fuses but none blown
