  1. I went from a dt to a ccm 644, found it fine and a lot of fun and definitely worth a look along with the ccm 404, has the drz e engine along with full wp suspension and the looks of a crf. Before i got the ccm i also wanted a wr450 but in supermoto trim but the amount of maintenance it wanted was too much for my liking just for road use, it would also be a bit too much of an animal if you wanted to just ride. I persoanlly prefer the bigger lazier engines that also have some go but i wouldnt bother with an xt660 (just my opinion) id probably go with like i said either the ccm 644 or 604, 644 is a freewind 650 engine and the 604 a solid rotax one or id give the xr650r a look at, a worthy contender. But if you want a bike around the 400 make seriously check out the ccm 404. I know iv not recomended any yamahas but what does it matter?

    I like, very nice =)

    Brake Issue

    Brakes might need bleading?
  4. I think the insurance group of a dt is higher than the ybr so would most likely cost a fair bit more.
  5. I ended up with a new helmet as i started doing more road work than green laning. A visor on the road is so much nicer.
  6. It was the rain that starting pissing me off with an mx lid, stings like f*ck
  7. When i had my DT i rode to Exmoor with some friends for a long weekend and covered around 1000 miles in total, we also travelled to Wales for another weekend again covering a good 1000 miles on and off road. It did seize on the way home from Wales though Its the only bike i actually miss so far.
  8. Thats awesome, makes sense why i havnt seen any then!
  9. To be honest neither have i and iv ridden round most of the country now, i dont recall seeing any in London either?
  10. Picked one up today, the guy was reluctant to sell it to me as he was convinced it was priced wrong. Made my day cheers OG =)
  11. I can imagine the response it would get from councils haha, probably 2 words, 1 beginning with 'F'
  12. Yep you would have thought so, was always rainy and windy down there yet the bike still looks good as new. You should see my girlfriends car! The sea air definitely done that no good..
  13. Beautiful bike, i like that colour scheme as well. Looks a lot of fun
  14. It would be pretty cool if one day someone invented grippy covers that are as durable? Could be nearly as innovative as the cats eyes. I doubt it would happen but would be nice.
  15. Iv not used acf 50 before but iv only heard good things about it. I used to leave my bike outside in the cornish weather about 1 minute from the sea, lived under an oxford rainex cover and it was bone dry and good as new when i took it off, would highly recomend one.
  16. Good advice from gas up. It also depends on your budget as well, the bikes listed above are (to me) quite expensive and insurance is another factor to consider as well. Dare i say it, a drz? Could be a good move from a 125, iv not tried one myself though and have heard they are a bit lardy for a 400, maybe a ccm 404 would be a better option?
  17. I agree with campaman, you dont have to go quick to be fast. Iv found for my old commute through busy towns my old ccm 644 supermoto was perfect, was more than enough. Being higher up was an advantage as youd know from having the XT, also being a narrow bike was good for town riding. But it depends what you need it for, i personally think my r6 is a bit overkill, good fun on bigger open roads but a bit pointless and a bit firm.
  18. I think the only difference between the 2 plugs is the actual length of the whole plug, dont quote me on this though. So both should be fine.
  19. Id be interested in what his turbo methanol xjr drag bike does it in!

    Lit wheels

Haha you might get away with it on that.
  21. Haters will be haters, i always find it amusing that you judge the size of each others knobs by what they ride (bit gay). Sports bikes are fun, on and off the track, theres nothing better than getting a few good bends flowing together properly and out breaking someone at the end of a straight. (Track) Also its nice to know theres a bit of power there to help get you out of trouble, you dont have to ride like a dick to have fun on a sports bike, as they say 'anyone can go fast in a straight line' but at least i can go fast round bends aswell unlike a cruiser =P

    Lit wheels

I think lights like that are a bit gay (just my opinion! ) But speaking of disc brakes, how cool is this! I spotted it whilst at a hotrod show the other week. I dont know what youd lube the chain with though
