  1. The new rule will be limited to 45bhp not engine size, Honda are releasing a cbr500 (which looks very nice) for this reason. I had my restrictors on for less than an hour, to be honest it didnt seem to make that much difference as the bike was putting out around 45bhp so only a loss of 12bhp. I honestly prefer the new rule, i didnt like that people could restrict a 120bhp r6 to 33bhp, made no sense to me.
  2. You can drop the forks in the yokes, it will alter the handling a bit though and make it turn a bit quicker.
  3. Dont get me started on that topic lol Read this, its all swings and roundabouts and a load of bollocks: http://www.redmondpi...ithin-48-hours/
  4. Haha starting from a grand you mean? they go up to around £2400 for a top of the range one, absolutely mad! I have a Galaxy s2 and wouldnt dream of swapping it for an iphone.
  5. That reminds me, I need to do my coolant and brake fluid. Theres no point in changing the oil that regularly unless you really hammer it and/or do a hell of a lot of miles.
  6. I agree with Ttask in some sense, iv managed to hack into a mac before and it was suprisingly easy.
  7. Mac os is based on unix the same platform as Linux etc and its said there arnt viruses for these operating systems but they are out there just not as wide spread as viruses for windows.
  8. Winter tyres? I Used to use the same tyres all year round. a mitas ef-08 up front and a michelin ac10 on the rear. Theyre off road biased but i used to do a fair bit of greenlaning too, not bad prices either.
  9. Haha brilliant. It has been nippy but not comparable to Canada. Give this stuff ago, i used to use it without any issues: http://www.visionmx.co.uk/castrol-mtx-1ltr-10w-40.ir
  10. I see what youre saying in this instance but i dont think it gets that cold in the uk to worry about these things. Its up to you ofcourse Ken, I was just saying that I never had any issues on my DT in the cold. (Was playing a bit of devils advocate as well in my last post). I used to change the oil once a year (thought that was enough) but obviously it could be worth a shot to see if it sorts your problem.
  11. My local Ducati dealer wont let you test ride unless your over 25 =(
  12. Haha yeah that would suck losing your pegs. Isnt the rubber replaceable? Im not sure how they are on your bike but most enduro/sm styles have rubber inserts.
  13. Its only a 125, its not exactly going to waste any fuel and plus im sure its better for the engine to fully warm a bike up. Im not saying you do but i hate it when i see people start a bike and hammer it from cold! You could look at the other factor that you could be wasting decent oil which most likely costs more than a tiny bit of fuel.
  14. I would of thought it being an enduro bike it would be a lot more straight forward than that? What a pita..
  15. 10w 40 will be fine, the majority of bikes in the uk will be running it. I think the oil youve got is fully synthetic though, this has been known to cause clutch slippage on some bikes. A semi synth would be more suitable for your bike imo.

    yzf r125

Youd be fine, it doesnt look like a little bike anyway. My brothers old cagiva mito 125 reached well well over 100mph easily. By the way this thread hasnt been added to since April 2011
  17. Whats wrong with the ones that are already on the bike?
  18. Im a bit confused by this thread by the title? Also (probably a stupid suggestion) did you have the filler cap off when emptying the oil to get it all out? It only holds what 1.2L? So theres a fair bit still in there.
  19. I never had any problems with my dt? Rode all year in all conditions, I always warmed it up before setting off though. The yz should be able to be adjusted at the box. By the way are you riding a yz on L plates? =S
  20. I love that bike Yamahead, i bet it would cost a fortune to get one like that now days.
  21. Was a brilliant bike. I know it says ccm on the tank BUT it has a suzuki xf650 engine in, better version of the dr650 as it has bigger valves etc. Suspension is all wp same as what you see on ktms, ajp wheels and acerbis plastics so you cant go wrong. Was a solid bike, loud and great fun for back roads, was good for 110mph but i wouldnt recomend it as it felt horrible and is made for acceleration. Theres a good following for them on the ccm forum so if you ever had any problems they would definitely get you going again. And one last thing its really easy to work on, such a simple bike but great value for money, can be had now days for around £1500.
  22. From first hand experience i can say that supermotos are more fun than sports bikes around 80% of the time. If you bought a sports bikes for weekends youd probably still end up using the sm instead (I know i would).
  23. The thing is, is that going to a 600 supermoto wont be that much of a big deal. As long as you dont jump on something like a husaberg fs650 or a ktm 660 you will be fine, i went from a dt to a 650 supermoto and loved it, only had 50ish bhp so not ground breaking and they can be picked up cheaply. The cost of swapping engines probably wouldnt be worth it as it will most likely de value your bike when you come to sell it as it raises questions more questions. This was my bike, only sold it for a sports bike as i fancied a change. Sports bikes arnt too bad for commuting if its mostly motorway but for traffic and city riding a supermoto or naked would be ideal. I loved that bike, was brilliant fun.
  24. To be fair the cr500 is in a different league in terms of power, awesome machine though.
