  1. Hi Ian gone I'm afraid... Stu
  2. Hi Jim they have gone I'm afraid... I'm not they would have fitted though... they use the OEM mounts and are tight on the bottom of the screen. ( work v well though! ) Only bits I have left now are a brand new standard back box... I had two... and drilled one, this one is the original off the bike. I have a HAL back rest and rack Some rear foot plates... I brought cheap then upgraded, I cant remebr the make, but they dont fold up. and a few other bits and bobs... a rear seat, and all the fittings I took off to fit the oem painiars... Oh and last bit is a set of leather "throw over" paniniers I used before the OEM If any of that is any use please let me know All the best Stu
  3. Hi Dave, Well i hope you are enjoying it! They really are a great bike! I wish I had the cash to keep both :-) Yep the roadhouse is a Slip On... if you look at your pipe, you will see a sort of clamp at the end of the header pipes, the 02 sensor is "up stream" of the back box... to take off your pipe, you undo the clamp, then there are two bolts underneath the pipe that holds the back box one... undo them, and the pipe pulls off, the 02 sensor and header pipes stay exactly where they are. The roadhouse 2slips on exactly the same way with same fixings... Simple :-)
  4. Hi Dave, Welcome to the Forum, have you had you bike long?.... I think they are one of the best cruisers around... even better with a nice loud pipe Pipe cost me £380 from Alchemy six months ago, so i was thinking about half price £190... is that fair? Stu
  5. Guys, I'm ashamed to say I have sold my Midnight Star I took a test ride on a BMW K1300 GT and got a trade in to good to turn away... So before it went I took back some to the add ons. Before I stick on e bay I though I'd see if anyone here fancied first refusal? I have A Road House Slip on... Is a easy fit, 20min max... it is LOUD... now you can get a quite baffle from Alchemy, but I just loved the noise An almost brand new standard back box... I brought a dented one from ebay and drilled that rather than risk drilling the new one.. so if you fancied drilling yours this would be a great way to do it ( the dented drilled went with the bike ) A Yammey "Short screen" this is OEM, 14".. I also had a OEM 17" that went with the bike A set of Bucks Lowers... I imported them from the US... frankly they don’t look great, but they really do a good job of removing the buffeting you get with the standard screen.... Also have the rear seat and all the standard fittings I took off to fit the OEM panniers... I can’t see why anyone would want em, but maybe some could have damaged the original stuff... All the stuff listed is in good nick, and I'm happy to send any photos if you want em. Sorry to the moderator if this is in the wrong bit... but it seemed to make sense to put the post here. If anyone’s interested drop me a PM or leave a post... no sensible offer refused! Stu
  6. not a chance... Mr sucker takes it away to dispose off.... in his own car I bet! must have only had a couple of ltrs of desil let... so just a bit smoky..
  7. Well I guess its me... cost me £300 to fill up my car! Started off OK... when to Tesco’s with my 5p Off per litre... 72 litre’s later.. big smile, that’s 72 * 5P £3.55 saved Lovely check out lady "Hi there what pump where you on" Me " 14 I think" Her "Ok that’s 72 litre of unleaded £75 pounds please" Me " no that must be the wrong pump, my cars diesel ".... " Oh S*it it is me" !!!! RAC to the "rescue"... ah filling up with wrong fuel is not a brake down its your error.. not to worry we can send someone out to fix it £150+VAT So one hour later, Unleaded £75 Fuel out £181 Fill up with diesel £82 ( I used my 5 p off voucher on petrol Doh!!! ) So that’s the most expensive fill up I’ve done in my car £338.....
  8. what are you two... the squeaker twins... Bits of tape... plastic mike jugs... clearly no style at all
  9. Use the cash on a vest I am up in a couple of weeks.. I'll bring mine up so you can see how warm they are!
  10. Ah now that I understand... I have a bloody boat, and belive me that takes a lot of washing!
  11. Strange how I new that!.... bet u dont own a chammi either
  12. Ah "Brush guards keep the wind chill off " there speaks a man not addicted to chrome...
  13. Its a Keis vest... got it from Bike Bits in Yatley.. just up the road from you.. also got the battery pack so I can wear it when I walk the dog! Below is a pic of the wife with hers on I looked at the Exo stuff, its a bit more cash, and I have the Exo insoles for my boots... didnt think that much of them.
  14. £90 quid with a "free" temp controler... It gets warm in seconds... I see you are in the frozen North... I bet you could use it all year round
  15. Treated myself to a heated vest this weekend... Ok Ok I know I am a Soft Southern Jessie, but hey I an old Soft, Southern Jessie Got to say they are bloody brilliant, Its got both a battery for off bike, and a connection the bike battery... I did a gentle 100 miles on Saturday the jacket set to medium, I had to stop after 10 Miles and turn it down to low!! I whore it to work thin AM, the thermometer on bike said it was about 6 degrees... set the jacket on low and it was toasty, all the way in.. Works well with the heated grips, warm hands, warm body warm hart! Nice way to travel!!!
  16. Ah well in that case E bay away!
  17. Its got to be said, I have got quite a bit of none Yami stuff... then changed to OEM... it aint cheap, but it fits looks good and problems have been minimal... Might be hard to get rid of the bars for sencible money if you have scraped em
  18. Bloody hell!! I did u notice how much it took to fill her up? I have though it might be worth trying to run dry with 5 ltrs staped on the back, just to see... but then I think about sucking the crap out the bottom of the tank... na, just fill up whe the light comes on
  19. Sorry to confuse... I just ment the wire is in the headlight... its connected to the aux socket ( which BTW has a seprearte fuse under the seat ) So the running lights and the grips are on the same feed....
  20. The Hot Grips get so hot on maximum that you wouldn’t want to hold the bars without gloves on :-) Also the grips are the same size as normal I mounted the controller on a little bracket It sits on my Garmin Sat Nav mount.. I use the car Nuvi on the bike. The wires sound much longer I got all mine fairly neatly back into the headlight, it T's off the driving lights so only works when the engine is running. On my wife’s bike I wired the grips into the back light, so you don’t have the worry of leaving them on... Below is a pic of the controller on the 1300... Fits quite nice in-between the screen and the bars
  21. Yep like everyone else I get about 130-150 miles before the light comes on.. Most I have done is 25 miles, but I was sweating a lot as I got to the garage :-) I have a small 1 ltr bottle that I got form a camping shop, for taking fuel in camping stoves... made of metal with a nifty pressure release valve.. I use that when I'm on a long run, not had to fill use it, but it was a nice to have when we where recently in the highlands of Scotland
  22. Screen lean back.. I simply "slotted" out the bottom hole with a Dremmel, but you could do the same with a small hacksaw.. Then you get just enough movement to get the screen in line. As I said mine is the Medium, which is 17" ( u cant get these in the UK, I got mine direct for the US).. for me it about perfect, I just see over the top, so the rain is no issue The rear boards look nice, and now and again I put the pillion seat back on... I am thinking of chrome side panels... if I get then I will probably take the boards off...
  23. Yep I like the panniers... a bit expensive, but they look the part and can take my lap top! I like your back rest, is that yam OEM... I have not seen the chrome "covers" on any other bike, they look good! My screen looks smaller than yours, mine is the medium, I think you have the large 22" version, can you see over it? Also a tip for you, if you look at mine I have tilted it back so it follows the line of the forks, as standard they sit upright like a tombstone :-) Its a simple mod you just slot ot the mounting bracket on the screen, I think it gives a nicer line to the bike.. Just MHO. Also have you drilled your exhaust, again a simple mod, makes the bike sound a bit nicer... Oh and as you had a picture of your pair of bikes I thought Id add mine... well wife is selling the Suzuki, but I don’t have one with mine and the Kawaker yet. The pic was taken on the highest road in Scotland... in the background you can see Skye... Lovely roads up there, and you are much nearer than me
  24. Yep I'll definitely drop you a PM nearer the time... I think we are up the last week in November Re the grips, your correct you replace the originals... I see from your photos you have the standard grips? They are easy to get off and as for gluing the new ones on, its just the clutch side the throttle is a brand new assembly... gluing is simple, the kit comes with a bit of super glue, just a little dab is all you need so you can get them off again v easy Sorry to hear about the accident, that’s part of the reason I did the advanced training... clearly anyone of us can have a bad accident, but anything you can do to give yourself the best chance of survival must be worth while ( Oh and its free :-) ) Bikes look nice together... an interesting combo... looking at them I wouldn’t have thought the 125 was much narrower than the 1300?? With regards to filtering, I agree it can be a pain when the bastards don’t move over... Have you tried the 1300... I'm sure those lights will make a difference... I also have a Roadhouse exhaust on mine, so i think they want me out of the way so they can listen to the radio!
  25. I think I got it now!!!
