If its quick with a bit of work on it dont tell me how cos after being off the bikes for 26 year its quick enough now.

First gear clunk not bad since clutch cable replaced so you may want to check it out for excessive wear. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

First gear klunks on mine also but then the clutch cable went on monday and is being replaced today so this may help it. will let you know what happens.

I was happily riding along yesterday not to fast not to slow down the A38 and pulled off at the junction, pulled the clutch in and whops, no clutch. after slow rolling i managed to get it in to 2nd gear then the fun part started. I had to ride 3 mile without stopping at junctions, traffic lights or for oncoming traffic to get to the local garage. had to leave the bike there as they had to order a cable which will be in thursday and it is now costing me £60 for cable and fitting. not bad for 10 mins work. well at least its taking space up in there garage for the next 2 day

Nice 1 m8, I did the same thing after 26 years without riding, got the 98 thundercat 5 week ago and I still have the silly grin on my face.

Hi Guy's I need a little help, new old old rider just passed test and got myself a YZF thundercat and havn't stopped grinnin yet. Anyway where do I check the oil. I can find any sight glass or dipstick. any help would be great.
