Hi all I have a DT125 year 2005 which has been giving me problems with starting? Turn on the ignition key all lights etc working but starter button dead,with a bit of investigating (reading the haynes manual)I found that if I unbolt the stand switch and tie it to the frame it starts? I have tested the switch with a metre and cleaned the wiring connections and it seams fine also tested the clutch switch and swapped the relays etc, Can anyone help? Thanks Kevin

Hello to all on the forum! I ride a vstar 1100, 09 model. My chariot & I have covered some 35,000K from East to West and around Australia in the past 12 months. She is a lovely steed and we have met a lot of really wonderful people on our travels. Many who think that because I am female and travel mostly on my own, that I am very brave! Hate to disalusion them so these days just agree! I joined this forum to ask questions of the technically minded and to enjoy what other riders have experienced.

Hi there all im Tom im 16, 17 next tuesday, been into bikes a while now i have a 2006 yamaha dt50, ive had it slightly tuned whilst ive had it, 70cc bore kit, race carb, race crank etc ive done all the work to it myself as im an apprentice at a garage, ive just bought a dt125 recently to put on the road in the next week or two, got my theory booked in march, basically bike mad and cant wait to have a crack at the test and hopefully pass just thought id introduce myself thanks for reading and roll on summer

Chasing up paint colours and engine number files. I know 'almost' all RT3s were Baja Brown, but i have a dark metallic grey one... original colour. Hoping to hear from RT owners. cheers

Hi everyone, been riding for 15 months or so - a YBR125 for a year and then an XJ600S Diversion. Getting in to biking is one of the best decisions I ever made! That's about all I've got for now, here's to the impending spring! Cheers

Hi,certainly not new to bikes, been riding since i was 15...that's a long time ago. But have been admiring the Japanese technology over tha past few years and am about ready to jump ship from the Harley world to the wonderful world of performance (extreme performance). I've been a drag race since 1961 and about as fast as I can make a Harley go is low 10s. Rode an R1 a buddy has and hit 130 so fast it scared me (the first time), awesome. Sportbike style is a little hard on my old wrists and shoulders but as my abs get better it gets better and better. Hi everybody Im new to this fourm thing so bear with me. alittle about me, I was in the Marine Corps for 10 years, just got out. Im a welder now and I just recently started riding street bikes. Long story short, I traded my dad a gun for his old 1994 535 virago. I got it at the end of last summer and it ran somewhat fine. Well it set on a battery tender all winter with fuel stabilzer any with the occassional start here and there. Well its finally getting warm here and NC so i broke her out and start cleaing her up and getting her ready to ride. I changed the oil the gear oil new battery, well i took for a spin a round the block and i noticed she was a little sluggis…

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Sam from Ohio and I'm restoring a 1983 Yamaha IT250....I belong to American Motorcyclist Assoc.,Christian Motorcyclist Assoc.& Applachian Dirt Riders. Been riding for 36yrs on and off road. This is my 2nd restoration project and enjoy building dirt bikes. They are simple and fun. So any help from previous or current IT owners would be appreciated.

hello,my name is paul and i live in wimborne dorset,i have a xt600e 1995 import which i enjoy riding (when it goes,)have had a few bikes in the past,2005 fazer 1000,vfr 750,k1100lt,cb750 nighthawk.have a serious battery drain problem on the xt at the moment,if anyone could help would appreciate it and hopefully my past experiences might help others,i am a mechanic but not doing to well on this problem at the moment,anyway hi to all and will post the fault as a topic to see if its not too unusual .,

Hi have a dt50mx and it sounds like a washer rattling around in the engine/transmission. if anyone recognises possible smptoms of this sound it would help. I only had the bike a few months not used it yet just started everey other morning and let tick over for 5 minutes. Then after a bit of time it has started making this sound. can anyone please help with ideas of what the possible causes could be TJT

Hi everyone, my names Tom, im 29 from Essex (UK) and I currently own a 1998 YZF600R Thunderace which i bought a a couple of years ago which was quite accident damaged and I have repaired/rebuilt. I also now own a 1998 YZF1000R Thunderace which I bought as a project bike, have stripped it down to just a frame and started from scratch.
